국내 피아노교수학 석·박사 학위논문의 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 피아노교수학 학위과정 석·박사 논문의 연구동향을 파악하고 향후의 과제를 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2001년부터 2022년 현재까지 한국교육학술정보원 학술연구정보서비스(RISS)에 등재된 해당 과정의 학위논문 데이터를 확보하고 총 5개의 분석기준 항목을 통해 분석하였다. 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 피아노교수학 학위논문 발표의 연도별 동향은 RISS 등재가 처음 이루어진 2001년을 시작으로 점진적인 증가율을 보이다가 2018년 이후 감소하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 석·박사 논문 모두 질적 연구 방법(석사 88.49%, 박사 85.29%)을 주로 선택한 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 연구대상에 있어서는 고급/전문영역 학습자의 비중이 가장 높았고(석사 37.70%, 박사 50.00%) 박사논문에서는 일부 연구대상에 편중된 현상이 나타났다. 넷째, 학문적 접근 측면으로 볼 때 석사 논문에서는 ‘교육학적인 접근’(45.24%)이, 박사 논문에서는 ‘음악학적 접근’(38.24%)이 주로 이루어지고 있었다. 다섯째, 연구주제/내용에 있어 석사 논문에서는 ‘교수법연구/교수·학습지도방안’(39.29%)을 1순위로 비교적 다양한 유형에 걸쳐 있었고 박사 논문에서는 ‘피아노 음악/레퍼터리 분석’(44.12%)이 주요 유형으로서, 몇몇 유형에 한정된 동향을 보였다. 결론적으로, 현장 중심 양적 연구의 활성화를 바탕으로 피아노교수학이 지닌 고유의 학문적 특성과 현 사회의 교육학적 시류 등을 연구에 반영할 필요가 있으며 특정 주제에 치우치지 않는 다양한 연구주제의 개발이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to understand the research trends of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations on piano pedagogy and to present future tasks. For this purpose, this study obtained data on theses/dissertations in the relevant courses, listed in the Korea Education & Research Information Service RISS from 2001 using 2022 and analyzed them through a total of five items of analysis criteria. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the trend of the publication of theses/dissertations on piano pedagogy showed a gradual rate of increase, starting in 2001 when the listing on the RISS began for the first time and has decreased since 2018. Second, both theses and dissertations mainly chose the qualitative research method (Thesis: 88.49%, Dissertation: 85.29%). Third, as for the research subjects, advanced, major/special field learners were given the highest weight (Thesis: 37.70%, Dissertation: 50.00%). The dissertations were concentrated on some research subjects. Fourth, in the aspect of academic approaches, a “pedagogical approach” (45.24%) was mostly made in theses while a “musicological approach” (38.24%) was mostly made in dissertations. Fifth, as for the type of research, theses extended to relatively diverse types with “teaching method research/teaching/learning guidance plan” (39.29%) as the first while “piano music/repertoire analysis” (44.12%) was the main type in dissertations, and they tended to be limited to a few types. It would be necessary to reflect the unique academic characteristics of piano pedagogy and the pedagogical trend in the present society in the research and develop various research topics not weighted on specific topics, based on the revitalization of field-oriented quantitative research in the future.
