예비교사의 교육과정 개발 경험에 관한 질적 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비교사의 관점에서 교육과정 개발 경험을 분석하여 교육적 의미를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 A 대학 교육과정 과목을 수강한 예비교사 40명의 교육과정 개발 경험 사례를 선정하여 교육과정에 대한 인식과 교육과정 개발의 어려운 점, 교육과정 개발 경험의 의미를 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 질적 사례연구의 분석 절차에 따라 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 교육과정에 대한 인식은 전통적인 개념 수용에서 복합적이고 체계적인 과정의 산물, 실천으로서의 교육과정 개발이라는 과정과 절차에 대한 종합적인 이해로 변하였다. 예비교사들은 교육과정을 개발하면서 막연한 두려움을 느끼고 교육과정을 구체화하는 데 어려움을 겪기도 한다. 하지만 그들은 교육과정 개발 경험을 교육과정을 이해하는 도전적인 학습경험이자 교육과정 전문가로서 교사의 역할과 교사상을 형성하는 자기 이해의 긍정적인 경험으로 인식하였다. 이 연구는 예비교사가 교육과정 개발 경험을 통해 교육과정을 어떻게 이해하고 교사 정체감을 형성하는지 보여줌으로써 예비교사의 교육과정 전문성을 위한 교육방안을 도출하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the educational meaning by in-depth understanding the curriculum development experiences of pre-service teachers. For this purpose, we selected the curriculum development cases of pre-service teachers who took the curriculum course at A University and analyzed the perception of the curriculum, difficulties in the development process, and the meaning of curriculum development. The collected data were analyzed according to the analytical procedure of a qualitative case study. The findings showed that the perception of the curriculum changed from accepting the traditional definition of curriculum to a comprehensive understanding of processes and procedures. While developing the curriculum, pre-service teachers felt fear vaguely and had difficulties in developing a specific their curriculum. However, they recognized curriculum development as a challenging learning experience to understand the curriculum and meaningful chances forming a teacher professional identity. Based on the findings, this study presented discussions and suggestions for further improvement of the pre-service teacher education.
