음악교육에 대한 농인 당사자의 경험과 요구

국문 초록

이 연구는 청각장애인을 위한 음악교육의 필요성과 공통교육 과정에서의 음악을 알아보고, 당사자의 음악교육 경험에 대한 의미를 분석하여 음악교육과 관련된 요구와 그 의미를 분석하고자 수행되었다. 이 연구는 음악교육에 대한 농인 당사자의 경험과 요구를 조사하기 위해 농인 당사자 10명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 반구조화된 설문지를 이용한 개별 면담을 통하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 첫째, 음악은 농인 당사자들에게 대체로 부정적인 의미로 회상되고 있었다. 음악은 청인을 위한 교과목으로 이해되고 있었으며, 청각장애인을 위한 수어합창과 수어노래는 청인에게 보여주기 위한 행사로 인식하는 경향도 있었다. 둘째, 음악교과서가 청인을 위해 만들어져 청각장애인들에게는 활용도가 낮았으며, 청각장애인을 위한 프로그램 개발이 필요하다고 하였다. 또한, 교사의 수어활용능력의 한계로 교사와 학생의 의사소통에 문제가 있었으며, 교사의 전문성 향상을 통해 청각장애학생도 음악수업에 함께 참여할 수 있다는 열린 태도의 필요성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to find out the necessity of music education for the deaf people and music in the common education process, analyze the meaning of the deaf person's music education experience, and analyze the demands and meaning a related to music education. In this, 10 deaf persons were selected as study participants to investigate the experiences and needs of deaf persons for music education. Data were collected and analyzed through individual interviews using semi-structured questionnaires. As a result of this study, first, music was recalled in a generally negative sense for the deaf people. Music was understood as a subject for hearing people, and there was also a tendency to perceive sign language chorus and sign songs for the students with hearing impairment as events to show to hearing people. Second, Music textbooks were made for the hearing people. so they had little use for the hearing people, and they said that it was necessary to develop a program for the students with hearing impairment. In addition, there was a problem in communication between the teacher and the student due to the limitation of the teacher's sign language ability, and the need for an open attitude was suggested that deaf students could also participate in music classes through the improvement of the teacher's professionalism.
