국문 초록

최근 몇 년간 대한민국 교육에 있어 중요한 이슈 중 하나는 ‘인성교육’일 것이다. 2015년 개정 교육 과정에서는 학생들이 공동체 사회에서 더불어 살아가는 것이 매우 중요하므로 인성교육을 더욱 강조하였다.《인성교육진흥법》[법률 제13004호, 시행 2015.7.21.]이 제정ㆍ시행된 지 7여 년의 시간이 지나고 있다. 현재 학력 인구가 감소하고 있는 현실에서 학교폭력 피해는 증가 하고 있다. 특히 우리나라는 OECD 평균보다 자살률이 높고, 비윤리적 사회문제가 연일 다양한 매체를 통해 보도되고 있다. 다른 어느 때보다 인성교육의 필요성과 중요성을 재확인시키고 있다. 2015년에 개정된 교육과정은 학교에서 각 교과 교육에서 인성 실천중심과 교과 수업 이외 활동 적용 등 다양한 인성 프로그램의 발굴과 개발의 필요성에 대해 반영하고 있다. 본 연구는 학교법인 대진대학교 산하 6개 고등학교의 인성교육 현황을 살펴보고 교육부에서 제시한 인성교육 제2차 계획에 발맞춘 고등학교 인성교육의 활성화 방안을 제시하는 것이 목적이다. 고등학교 인성교육의 활성화 방안은 첫째 상생 대진『DOUBLE 행복』내용 증보, 둘째 인성교육 통합 프로그램 ‘報恩(孝行)’ 활동 확충, 셋째 학교별 전문적 학습 공동체 운영, 넷째 온라인 콘텐츠 개발 및 제작이다. 6개 고등학교가 2018년부터 인성 교과서를 중심으로 학교별로 인성교육을 시행한 다양한 현황을 살펴보다 보니 단편적 나열에 불과하다. 다양한 주제별로의 구체적 검토는 이 논문에 이어지는 후속 과제로 남겨두고자 한다.

영문 초록

One of the important issues in Korean education in recent years will be ‘character education’. In the 2015 revised curriculum, it was very important for students to live together in a community, so character education was further emphasized. More than seven years have passed since the Character Education Promotion Act [Act No. 13004, Enforcement July 21, 2015] was enacted and enforced. In the reality that the educational ability population is currently decreasing, the damage caused by school violence is rather increasing. In particular, Korea has a higher suicide rate than the OECD average, and unethical social problems are reported through various media every day. It reaffirms the necessity and importance of character education more than ever. The curriculum revised in 2015 reflects the necessity of discovering and developing various character programs in each subject education, such as focusing on character practice and applying activities other than curriculum. The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of character education at six high schools affiliated with Daejin University educational foundation, and to suggest ways to revitalize high school character education in line with the second-year plan proposed by the Ministry of Education. The ways to revitalize high school character education are as follows. First, the content of Sangsaeng(Mutual Beneficence) Daejin DOUBLE Happiness should be enlarged and supplemented. Second, the activity of the integrated character education program “Grateful Reciprocation of Favors(filial behavior)” should be expanded. Third, each school operates a professional learning community more vigorously. Fourth, it develops and produces online content. Looking at the various status of character education conducted by six high schools, focusing on character textbooks since 2018, it is only a fragmentary list. Specific reviews by various topics will be left as a follow-up task to this paper.
