국문 초록

본 연구는 주거형태에 따라 유아의 가정에서의 실외놀이 활동이 어떠한지 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 아파트단지와 주택단지가 많이 형성되어 있는 지역에 위치한 유치원에 다니는 만 5세 유치원 재원생 377명이었다. 연구대상 유아의 어머니를 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 알아본 결과 유아의 실외놀이 활동량과 대상, 장소가 주거형태에 따라 서로 다른 양상을 보였고, 유아의 실외놀이 활동 종류와 부모가 생각하는 실외놀이 활동의 효과는 비슷하게 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 유아의 실외놀이 활동과 주거형태와의 관련성을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the form of residence and the outdoor play activities of preschoolers. The subjects in this study were 377 five-year-old preschoolers who attended a kindergarten located in a region of apartment and housing complexes. With their mothers responses to the questionnaire, there appeared differences amongst the preschoolers regarding the amount of their outdoor activities, depending on their form of residence. Their form of residence also made a difference towards whom they played with outdoors and where their outdoor activities occurred. The mothers felt that the outdoor play activities produced similar effects despite the fact that the type of preferred outdoor play differed according to the form of residence. Based on the findings of the study, the possible reasons for the effect of the form of residence on the outdoor play activities of the preschoolers was discussed.
