국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 유머 특성과 유아의 중요한 사회적 맥락인 또래 관계 속에서 유머를 둘러싼 맥락적 요소를 살펴봄으로써 또래 관계 속 유머가 지니는 의미를 이해하고자 하는 목적을 가진다. 이러한 목적을 가지고 유아들의 자연스러운 실제를 통해 유머의 의미를 이해하고자 문화기술적 탐구 방법을 사용하였다. 그 결과 유아의 유머 특성은 왜곡, 과장, 언어유희, 반전 및 의외성으로 구분될 수 있었으며 이 특성들은 유머 안에서 한가지 이상이 결합되어 나타났다. 또한 또래 관계 속에서 유아의 유머에 관여하는 맥락적 요소는 또래 간 인지적 유사성 대 차이, 공동체 규범준수의 개인적 허용 범위 일치 대 불일치, 행위자와 반응자간 친밀감 대 거부감, 유머에 대한 사회적 인식의 딜레마로 범주화할 수 있었다. 유머를 둘러싼 이러한 맥락적 요소는 또래 관계 속에서 반복되는 경험을 하게 함으로써 또래 관계를 강화시키거나 악화시키게 되며 나아가 개인의 사회화 과정에 관여하게 된다.

영문 초록

This study s objective is to understand the meaning of humor by examining children s humor characteristics and the contextual elements of humor in peer relationship, the important social context of children. To that end, the study used an ethnographic inquiry to understand the meaning of humor through natural actual case of children. As a result, the humor characteristics of children are classified into distortion, exaggeration, linguistic diversion, conversion and unexpectedness, and appear in a set combined by more than one elements in humor. In addition, the contextual elements associated with humor of children in peer relationship can be classified into recognitive similarity versus difference among peers, coincidence vs discrepancy of personal permission range of community rule observance, familiarity vs repulsion among actor and respondent, and social recognitive dilemma on humor. Such contextual elements surrounding humor strengthen or weaken peer relationship by allowing experiences that are repeated in peer relationship, and are further involved in the socialization of individuals.
