국문 초록

본 연구는 밥상머리교육활동이 유아의 자아존중감과 조망수용능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 G시에 위치한 유치원 만 5세 두 학급 총 50명의 유아를 선정하였고 실험처치 후 수집된 자료는 SPSS 통계프로그램을 이용하여 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 밥상머리교육활동을 실시한 실험집단이 자아존중감 전체 및 하위요인인 인지적 능력, 동료수용, 신체적 능력, 어머니수용, 자기수용이 향상되었다. 둘째, 밥상머리교육활동을 실시한 실험집단이 조망수용능력 전체 및 하위요인인 타인의도조망수용능력, 타인감정조망수용능력이 향상되었다. 이는 밥상머리교육활동이 실제 유아교육현장에서 유아의 자아존중감과 조망수용능력 증진을 위한 교수방법으로 활용해 볼 수 있음을 시사하는 것이라 하겠다.

영문 초록

The study aims to examine how table manners education affects the self-esteem and perspective taking abilities of young children. The sample comprises 50 five-year-old children in two kindergarten classes; the collected data were analyzed by ANCOVA using the statistical program SPSS. The experimental group that participated in the classes exhibited improvements in self-esteem and its sub-factors, which included cognitive and physical abilities and acceptance of their peers, mother s and selves. These children also demonstrated improved perspective taking abilities, whose sub-factors included both cognitive and affective perspective taking abilities. The author concludes that the establishment of table manners education programs is an effective teaching-learning method that will increase self-esteem and perspective taking ability of young children.
