한․중 전래동화 그림책에 나타난 생태적 의미 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국의 『견우직녀』와 중국의 『우랑직녀』를 중심으로, 한국과 중국의 전래동화 그림책을 생태적으로 읽고 비교․분석하였다. 이를 위해, 칠석의 풍속에 관한 견우직녀 설화를 주제로 한 중국과 한국의 전래동화 그림책을 각각 한 권씩 연구도구로 선정하였다. 분석 결과, 두 그림책에서는 첫째, 사람과 사람, 사회가 어우러져 함께 살아가는 생명의 관계성, 둘째, 사람이 자연, 동물과 상호 영향을 주고받으며 삶의 고리를 맺는 생명의 순환성, 셋째, 하나하나의 생명들이 살아있는 존재로 인정받고 존중받는 생명의 다양성의 측면을 공통적으로 찾아볼 수 있었다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 각각의 구체적인 내용은 두 그림책의 이야기 전개와 텍스트 및 그림 묘사에서 다른 양상으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로, 아이들의 생태적 감수성을 계발하고 개인보다는 공동체 중심의 관계성 회복을 위해 나아가는 유아교육의 방향성을 깨닫게 할 수 있는 매체로서 전래동화 그림책의 활용 가능성에 대해 논의하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to made a comparative analysis on the picturebooks of Korean and Chinese traditional fairy tales from the perspective of ecology. For this purpose, we investigated Korean and Chinese picturebooks, respectively 『Gyonu and Jingnyo』and『Urang and Jingnyo』, both of which are traditional narratives about Gyonu and Jingnyo, from which the customs of Chilseok originated. As results, we found that the two picturebooks are similar to each other since both of them imply three aspects of life. Of the three, the first is relationships where people get along with not only others, but also communities, the second is circulation where there are interactions and links between people, nature and animals and the third, diversity where all living things are recognized and respected as what they are. However, we also found that the two picturebooks are different from each other in terms of how their stories are developed and how their texts and images are depicted. Based on these findings, we discussed how picturebooks of traditional fairy tales are applicable to developing children’s ecological sensitivity, restoring not individual-, but community-oriented relationships and making realized the right direction of early childhood education.
