국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교육기관 원장이 학부모와의 관계에서 경험하는 어려움과 극복노력을 탐색함으로써 원장이 부모와의 소통적인 관계를 이루어 나갈 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 유아교육기관 원장 9인을 연구참여자로 선정하여 개별 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과 원장이 학부모와의 관계에서 겪는 어려움은 폭넓은 역할의 기대에 따른 정체성의 혼란, 부모의 개별적 요구수용에 따른 흔들리는 교육철학, 대중매체로 양산된 부정적 이미지로 인해 무너지는 신뢰와 사명감, 소통의 어려움에 따른 상실되어가는 관계성으로 나타났다. 이러한 어려움을 극복하기 위한 노력은 열린 공론화 과정에 따라 민주적 절차의 과정을 거치며, 교사와 학부모와 함께 열린 관계를 형성하려 노력하였고, 원장의 전문성 강화를 통해 지평을 넓히며, 다시 유아교육의 기본으로 돌아가기 위해 근본에 충실하려는 노력으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study sought to find ways for the director to develop a communication relationship with his parents by exploring the difficulties and efforts to overcome the difficulties experienced by the director of an early childhood education institution in the relationship with his parents. To that end, nine heads of early childhood education institutions were selected as research participants and conducted in-depth interviews. Studies have shown that the difficulties that directors face in their relationships with their parents are confusion in identity based on expectations of a wide range of roles, shaky educational philosophy based on their parents acceptance of individual demands, and lost relationships due to the collapse of trust and mission due to negative images produced by mass media and difficulties in communication. Efforts to overcome these difficulties were made through the process of democratic process according to the open process of public discussion, to form open relationships with teachers and parents, to strengthen the director s professionalism and to stick to the basics of early childhood education.
