국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 어머니가 지각한 사회적 지지, 교실환경, 유아의 사회적 유능감, 학습준비도 간의 구조적 관계를 규명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 7차년도 자료를 사용하였다. 자료분석은 Mplus 6.0 프로그램을 이용한 경로분석이 이루어졌고 주요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 두 개의 외생변인(어머니가 지각한 사회적 지지, 교실환경)과 내생변인(사회적 유능감)은 2개 경로를 통해 학습준비도에 간접적으로 유의한 영향을 주고, 3개 예언변인들의 학습준비도 전체 변량에 대한 설명력은 약 56.1%로 나타났다. 둘째, 부트스트래핑을 이용한 매개효과 분석결과, 어머니가 지각한 사회적 지지, 교실환경과 학습준비도의 관계에서 사회적 유능감은 유의한 완전매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아의 학습준비도를 촉진시키는데 사회적 유능감이 가장 중요한 역할을 하고, 사회적 유능감에는 교실환경이 어머니가 지각한 사회적 지지에 비해 상대적으로 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship among social support for mothers, classroom environment, young children s social competence and school readiness. For this purpose, the seventh year of the Korean Children s Panel was used. The path analysis was performed using Mplus Ver 6.0, and the main findings are as follows. First, two exogenous variables(social support for mothers and classroom environment)and endogenous variables(social competence) have an indirect effect on young children s school readiness through two paths, and the explanatory power of the total variance of school readiness was about 56.1%. Second, as a result of analyzing the mediating effects using bootstrapping, it was verified that social competence was a complete mediating model with significant mediating effects on the relationship between social support for mothers, young children’s classroom environment and school readiness. This study suggests that social competence plays the most important role in promoting young children’s school readiness, and that the classroom environment has a more significant influence on their social competence than social support for mothers.
