국문 초록

이 연구는 예수 그리스도의 죽음을 바라보는 미켈란젤로의 ≪산피에트로의 피에타≫에 조각된 마리아의 시선과 창 22장의 아케다 사건이 표상학적으로 보여주는 아버지 하나님의 시선을 비교 분석한다. 미켈란젤로는 피에타 조각에서 의도적으로 각 인물간의 비례, 마리아의 얼굴과 표정, 작품과 관람객과의 구도 등을 통하여 예수의 죽음을 향한 성모의 신성한 슬픔을 마리아의 시선을 통해 보여주려 한다. 반면 아케다 사건은 예수님의 순종과 희생과 함께 독생자를 내어주는 하나님의 비통한 시선을 표상하며, 신약은 골고다에서 그 표상의 성취를 드러낸다.

영문 초록

This study compares and analyzes two perspectives looking at the death of Jesus Christ: the perspective of Mary, sculpted in Michelangelo s Pieta of St Peter’s Basilica and the perspective of God the Father, which is represented typologically by the Akedah story in Genesis 22. In the Pieta sculpture, Michelangelo intentionally show the sacred sorrow of the Mary towards the death of Jesus with her perspective, through the proportions between the figures, the face and expression of Mary, and the placement between the sculpture and the viewer. On the other hand, the Akeda story signifies the obedience and sacrifice of Jesus and the grievous perspective of God in giving up his only begotten Son, and the New Testament reveals the fulfillment of the types at Golgotha.
