국문 초록

본 연구는 지체장애 부모에게서 자란 비장애 자녀들의 적응경험을 살펴보고, 이를 기반으로 사회복지 접근 방안을 모색해보고자 시행되었다. 이를 위해 지체장애 부모에게서 자란 비장애 자녀 6명을 대상으로 심층 면담하였고, 그 결과 8개의 주제묶음을 상정할 수 있었다. 먼저, 개인적 차원에서의 적응경험으로는 “드러냄을 통해 가벼워지기”, “동등해지기”, “삶에서 묻어난 강점 인식하기”라는 주제가, 가족적 차원에서는 “이해를 통한 채움”, “부모의 장애수용을 통한 안정”, “가족 애(愛)를 통한 애착형성”이, 그리고 마지막 환경적 차원에서는 “동병상련을 통한 마음 내려놓기”와 “타인을 통한 출구 찾기”라는 주제가 상정되었다. 연구자는 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 지체장애부모를 가진 비장애 자녀들을 위한 사회복지 접근 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study is to explore the adaptation experience of non-disabled children raised by Parents with Physical disability and suggest appropriate social work interventions for them. For this purpose, we have an interview with 6 adult children with physical disabled parents. The analysis of the data resulted in 17 subcategories and 8 categories. The major adaptation themes as a result of analysis can be categorized into three dimensions as follows; “taking the pressure off through expression”, “being equal”, “recognizing strengths from harsh life” in the individual dimension, “being filled with mutual understanding”, “sense of stability by accepting parent’s disability”, “forming attachment through family affection” in the family dimension, and finally, “emptying mind through sympathizing with each other”, “searching an exit through others” in the environmental dimension. Based on the results, the researcher suggests several interventions for non-disabled children with disabled parents.
