내러티브 케어로서의 초등교사 역할 재개념화 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 급변하는 교육현장에서 초등교사의 역할이 용어의 모호성과 정형화된 역할 기대로 고착되어 있음을 문제의식 삼아 내러티브와 케어의 개념을 도입하여 초등교사의 역할을 재개념화하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기존 교사의 역할에 대한 선행연구를 검토하고, 내러티브 이론 및 케어의 의미에 대한 고찰을 통해 교육적 돌봄으로서의 내러티브 케어와 교육적 관리로서의 내러티브 케어 개념을 도출하였다. 내러티브 케어 개념에 의거하여 초등교사의 역할은 ‘학급 내러티브 관찰자’, ‘학급 내러티브 교육과정 운영자’, ‘학급 내러티브 탐구자’로 재개념화될 수 있다. 학급 내러티브 관찰자로서 교사는 내러티브 케어의 교육적 돌봄 개념에 근거하여 학생들의 내러티브에 민감하게 반응하고 세심하게 관찰하여 학급의 내러티브를 건강하게 이끈다. 학급 내러티브 교육과정 운영자로서 교사는 내러티브 케어의 교육적 관리 개념에 근거하여 내러티브 교육과정 운영의 기본 원리를 알고 내러티브를 교육적 수단으로 활용할 수 있다. 학급 내러티브 탐구자로서 교사는 자신의 교육 경험을 내러티브 사고 양식으로 되돌아보고, 반성적 탐구를 통해 자신의 PCK 및 PPK를 성장시켜나간다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to re-conceptualize the elementary school teachers’ role by introducing the concepts of ‘narrative’ and ‘care’, taking into consideration that the role of elementary school teachers is fixed with ambiguity of terms and standardized role expectations at rapidly changing educational field. The concept of educational care of ‘narrative care’ and educational management of ‘narrative care’ are produced by the study of existing teachers’ role, ‘narrative theory’ and the meaning of ‘care’. There are three roles, ‘The observer of classroom narrative’, ‘The operator of narrative curriculum of classroom’ and ‘The narrative inquirer on classroom’ are re-conceptualization of elemenatary teachers’ role based on ‘narrative care’ concept. ‘The observer of classroom narrative(based on educational care of ’narrative care’)’ teacher observe meticulous and react sensitive children’s narrative to lead healthy classroom narrative. ‘The operator of narrative curriculum of classroom(based on ducational management of ‘narrative care’)’ teacher can run narrative curriculum and also use narrative by educational kit. ‘The narrative inquirer on classroom’ teacher look back him/her own educational experience by narrative thought mode, and grow up own PCK(Pedagogical Content Knowldege) and PPK(Personal Practical Knowlege) by reflective inquiry.
