부모-자녀 놀이치료에 참여한 어머니들의 부모역할 변화경험 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 부모–자녀 놀이치료 프로그램에 참여하는 아동의 어머니들이 경험하는 심리적 현상과 경험의 내적 의미의 구조가 어떠한지 드러내는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구를 위해 미취학 아동의 어머니 가운데 부모–자녀 놀이치료 프로그램에 지속적으로 참여한 6명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 연구 참여자들과의 심층면담을 통해 얻은 자료는 Giorgi가 제시한 기술적 현상학의 연구 절차에 따라 분석하였다. 그 결과 201개의 의미단위와 49개의 하위 구성요소, 그리고 하위 구성요소들 간의 상관관계에 의해 경험의 본질인 25개의 구성요소를 도출하였다. 그리고 구성요소들은 4가지 범주, 즉 부모역할의 인식 변화경험, 부모역할의 정서 변화경험, 양육 태도에 대한 변화경험, 양육자의 자기 변화경험으로 분류되었다. 본 연구의 의의는 첫째, 어머니들이 놀이를 통해 행복해 할 수 있는 자기 자신을 경험하며, 놀이의 의미를 깨닫고, 놀이성이 성장한 것은 본 연구에서 발견된 두드러진 특징이다. 둘째, 어머니가 자신의 미해결된 문제가 부모역할에 끼치는 영향을 자각할 때, 자녀를 수용하는 능력 그리고 자신을 수용하는 능력이 향상됨을 밝혔다. 이는 앞으로 부모교육 및 상담에서 ‘자녀의 특성 및 발달단계에 따른 도움’과 ‘부모자신의 미해결 과제를 도움’이라는 양 방향적 접근에 대한 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to disclose the psychological phenomena thatare experienced by children’s mothers in the process of participation in thefilial therapy program and the structure of internal meanings. Six motherswho can consistently participated in filial therapy program out of motherswith preschool children as of the survey point of time were selected as theparticipants of this study. The data were analyzed in compliance with theresearch process of the descriptive phenomenology that was suggestedby Giorgi. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, theremarkable characteristics discovered by this study were that mothersexperienced themselves happy through play and realized the meanings ofplay and made playfulness growth. Second, it revealed that when mothersperceived the effects of their unsolved problems on parent’s roles, theirability to accept themselves as an individual as well as the ability to acceptchildren as parents were improved.
