국문 초록

본 논문은 고통과 관련된 주요 개념들을 연구하고 또한 고통 받는 여성들을 상담하면서 새롭고 유용한 방법들을 제안하는 데 그 초점을 두고 있다. 이것을 위하여 우선 십자가의 신학과 고통의 의미의 심리적 차원들을 살펴보았다. 그리고 희생자들과 동일시하며 그들과의 연대감을 나타내면서 동시에 가해자들에게 속죄할 기회를 제공한 예수가, 십자가에 못 박히신 하나님의 신학적 개념을 풀어내고 이해하는 데 어떻게 반응하였는지 논의하였다. 신학적 의미의 고통을 해석함에 있어 압제(oppression)와 불의(injustice), 그리고 착취(exploitation)를 경험한 성경인물 중 하갈(창)6장)과 입다의 딸(삿)1장2의 이야기를 다루었다. 아울러 여성 특유의 고통의 성질을 더 깊게 이해하기 위해서 고통 받는 여성들의 psyche의 관계성과 사랑, 희생 등을 소개하였다. 한국 기독교 여성들의 고통을 이해하는 데 유교적 한국 문화와 가부장적 기독교 전통 사이의 친밀한 연관성을 논의하였다. 마지막으로 인식(recognition)과 확인(affirmation)의 기술과 중요한 성경 구절들을 가미한 재구성(reframing)의 방법과 한국의 유교사상과 남성중심의 기독교 정신의 상호 관계를 고려하는 상담기법 등이 고통 받는 여성들, 특히 고통 중에 있는 한국 기독교 여성들을 상담하는 데 유용한 도구들로 제시되었다.

영문 초록

The main focus of current article is to examine the contours of suffering and to suggest some practical methodologies for counseling suffering women. In doing so the theology of the cross and the psychological dimensions of the meaning of suffering are brought together but with some gender criticisms. Jesus who identifies with and thus shows solidarity with the victims and at the same time who offers atonement for the perpetrators is being discussed. For the biblical understandings of suffering, the accounts of Hagar (Genesis)6) and of the daughter of Jephthah (Judges)1) who underwent oppression, injustice, and exploitation are being investigated. The constellations of relationality, love and sacrifice are presented to premote a deeper understanding of suffering that is particular for women. Then finally a couple of pastoral counseling tools for suffering women are proposed; namely, the technique of recognition and affirmation, and the method of reframing accompanied by some biblical truths, and the need for considering the dynamics between the Confucius orientation of Korean culture and the patriarchal God image of Judeo–Christianity in counseling the suffering Korean Christian women.
