애착이론에서 바라본 고난의 행군세대 북한청년의 물질사용장애 취약 가능성에 관한 이론적 고찰

국문 초록

북한에서 마약류의 사용은 더 이상 간과할 수 없는 심각한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 애착이론을 통해 북한청년의 물질사용장에 취약 가능성에 대해 사회, 심리, 신경 생리적 관점을 통해 이론적으로 고찰하고, 이에 대한 문제의식을 고취하고자 한다. 먼저, 사회적 관점에서 북한 청년의 불안정 애착을 유발시킬 수 있었던 고난의 행군시기의 사회적 상황과 북한의 마약류 사용 실태에 대해 제시했다. 심리적 관점에서는 북한청년의 초기 외상적 경험과 불안정 애착이 어떻게 물질사용장애의 발현에 취약요인이 되는가에 대해 애착이론의 관점에서 고찰하였다. 또한 신경 생리적 관점에서는 물질사용장애의 신경생리적 메커니즘과 애착에 의한 유아 초기 뇌 발달영역에서 공통적으로 나타나는 뇌의 해부학적 유사성과 해당 영역의 기능을 살펴보면서, 북한청년 물질사용장애 취약성의 대해 고찰했다. 끝으로 이 연구를 통해 향후 북한청년과 물질사용장애에 관한 향후 연구 방향과 기독 상담적 접근방안과 교회의 역할에 대해 제안했다.

영문 초록

In North Korea, narcotic drug use is a serious problem that can no longer be overlooked. The aim of this paper theoretically under-stands vulnerabilities of the North Korean Youth to substance use disorders(SUDs) in attachment theory with social-psycho-neuro-physiological perspectives, and raises awareness of this issue. In a sociological perspective, the paper presents social contexts in North Korea: ‘the arduous march’ inducing insecure attachment of North Korean youth and realties of narcotic drug abuse in North Korea. In a psychological perspective, the paper looks into their traumatic early-childhood experiences, and insecure attachments would be risk factors for developing SUDs in attachment theory. From a neuro-physiological perspective, the paper examines their susceptibility to SUDs through anatomical similarities and functions of the brain regions related to SUDs and early brain development. Finally, this study proposes future directions of empirical studies, counseling approaches, and roles of churches on North Korean youth and their SUDs.
