대학생의 애착불안과 SNS 중독경향성의 관계: 자아존중감과 자기통제의 이중매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 애착불안과 SNS 중독경향성 간의 관계에서 자아존중감과 자기통제가 매개 역할을 하는지 확인하는 것에 있다. 이를 확인하기 위해 대전⋅충남 지역의 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 341명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 수집된 데이터는 SPSS 19.0 및 AMOS 18.0으로 검증 후 구조방정식 모형(Structural Equation Modeling: SEM)을 통해 분석하였다. 그 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 애착불안과 SNS 중독경향성은 유의미한 정적 상관이, 자아존중감과 SNS 중독경향성은 유의미한 부적 상관이, 자기통제는 SNS 중독경향성과 유의미한 부적 상관이 있음이 확인되었다. 또한 애착불안 수준이 높을수록 자아존중감과 자기통제에 부적인 영향을 미쳐 SNS 중독경향성을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 애착이 불안정할수록 자기 가치를 타인의 기준으로 평가할 수 있고 이를 극복하기 위해 가상세계에 자신이 원하는 모습을 표현하고자 SNS에 지나치게 몰입하게 될 수 있으며 즉각적인 즐거움만을 추구하며 충동을 조절하지 못해 SNS를 과다사용할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이 연구는 대학생을 위한 SNS 중독문제에 대한 상담 및 교육 장면에서 통합적인 이해와 접근이 필요함을 시사한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the mediating effect of self-esteem and self-control in the relationship between attachment anxiety and SNS addiction proneness in university students. To achieve this purpose, the research questions are as follows. What is the relationship between attachment anxiety, self-esteem, self-control, and SNS addiction proneness in university students? Do self-esteem and self-control have a dual mediation effect in the relationship between attachment anxiety and SNS addiction proneness? To analyze this, a survey was conducted inon 341 university students in Daejeon Metropolitan City and the South Chungcheong Province region, and the collected data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 18.0. The main findings of this study are as follows. First, attachment anxiety had correlated positively with SNS addiction proneness. Self-esteems and self-control had correlated negatively with SNS addiction proneness. Also, a sequential dual mediating model showed that the effect of attachment anxiety had noted direct and indirect effects on SNS addiction proneness through self-esteem and self-control. This study is significant in that it suggests that there is a need to make develop a comprehensive understanding of and approach to counseling and training about SNS addiction problems for university students.
