국문 초록

본 연구는 방과후학교 토요프로그램의 운영 실태와 사례, 문제점을 확인하고, 활성화 방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 방과후학교 토요프로그램은 주5일수업제 실시에 따라 2012년도부터 전국 초・중등학교에 적용되기 시작했다. 방과후학교 토요프로그램의 운영 결과, 학생들의 꿈과 끼를 살리고 잠재능력을 개발하는데 도움을 주었으며, 체험활동이나 문화생활의 기회가 증가하였으며, 수요자, 즉 학생, 학부모, 교사의 만족도도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 학교 밖 지역사회 공동체, 마을학교 등 방과후학교 토요프로그램의 확대, 지역사회와 연계한 수요자중심의 현장체험교육 정착, 지역사회 인프라를 활용한 다양한 토요 체험활동을 위한‘주말 체험활동 증진시스템’구축, 자유학기제와 연결된 운영 및 활동 결과의 생활기록부 기록, 방과후학교지원센터 강화, 홍보를 통한 수요자 참여율 제고, 인력지원을 통한 학교업무 부담 감소와 같은 활성화 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study has an object in view for confirm the After-school Saturday Program’s operation condition, case, defect, and seek improve quality. The After-school Saturday program has begun to applied to all over the elementary and middle schools from 2012 as per the five-day schoolweek. The result of the After-school Saturday Program operation, it helps students to make use of students’ dream and talent, and develop students’ potential. Also an increase opportunity for the cultual life or activity experience. Furthermore users’ (students, parents, teachers) satisfaction showed higher satisfaction levels. This study was provided following effective operation measures. Expansion of the After-school Saturday Program in local community outside of school or village school, established of user centered field education related to local community, established of ‘Weekend activity for experience enhancement system’ for Saturday activity for experience make use of local community infrastructure, put on record the consequence of operation and activity related to free-semester system in student record, enforcement of After-school support center, improvement of users’ participation rate through promotion, and decrease of business burden of school via provision of human resource.
