보육기관에서의 놀이치료가 유아의 자기 조절력 및 사회적 능력에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 보육기관에서 이루어지는 놀이치료가 유아의 자기 조절력과 사회적 능력에 미치는 효과를 확인하기 위해 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 만 4-5세 유아 7명을 대상으로 서울시 소재의 어린이집에서 놀이치료를 실시하였으며, 윌콕슨 검증을 통해 놀이치료 실시 전과 후의 변화를 측정하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보육기관에서의 놀이치료는 유아의 자기 조절력 증진에 유의한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 자기 조절력 전체 평균 점수가 상승하며 유의한 변화가 나타났고, 하위요인인 인지 조절 및 정서 조절 요인 모두 사후 평균 점수의 상승과 유의미한 변화가 나타났다. 둘째, 보육기관에서의 놀이치료는 유아의 사회적 능력 증진에 유의한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 사회적 능력 전체 평균 점수는 사후에 유의한 긍정적 변화를 보였다. 하위요인인 친사회적 행동과 외적 문제행동의 경우 평균 점수는 상승하였으나 유의미한 효과가 나타나지 않은 반면, 내적 행동문제의 경우 사후 평균 점수가 상승하며 유의한 변화를 보였다. 본 연구는 보육기관과의 연계를 통해 삶의 초기인 유아기에 적합한 심리지원 서비스를 제공하고 치료적·예방적 차원에서 긍정적인 효과를 나타냈다는 데 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to confirm the effect of play therapy in a childcare center on a child s self-regulation and social ability. To this end, 7 children aged 4-5 years old were given play therapy at a daycare center in Seoul. And the change before and after the play therapy was measured through Wilcoxon verification. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that play therapy in a childcare institution has a significant effect on improving self-regulation of infants. The average score of the infant s self-regulating power increased and showed a significant change. In addition, both the factors of cognitive self-regulation and emotional self-regulation, which are the sub-factors, showed an increase in the mean score after death and a significant change. Second, play therapy in a childcare institution was found to have a significant effect on the improvement of children s social skills. The average score of the overall social competence of infants showed a significant change after death. However, in the case of prosocial behavior and external problem behavior, which are the sub-factors, the average score increased, but there was no significant effect. In the case of the internal behavior problem, which is a sub-factor, the average score after death increased and showed a significant change. This study dealt with mental health issues in early childhood, which is the beginning of life through linkage with childcare institutions. Through this, it is significant that it has a positive effect on the therapeutic and preventive level.
