국문 초록

2015 개정 교육과정은 미래 사회의 인재를 키우기 위해 역량 중심을 추구한다. 지식과 기능을 활용하여 새로운 것을 재창조할 수 있는 창의·융합형 인재를 목표로 한다. 이에 따라 교과별로 핵심 개념을 중심으로 교육 내용을 적정화하여 학생 참여 수업으로 배움의 즐거움을 느끼도록 한다. 미술과 교육과정도 제작 및 감상·비평 활동을 통한 감수성과 심미안을 계발하고 인성교육을 활성화하고자 한다. 2015 개정 교육과정은 백워드 설계의 핵심 개념 또는 빅 아이디어를 중심으로 전이가 높은 중요한 내용을 학습하여 학습 부담을 경감하고자 한다. 백워드 설계를 제안한 Wiggins와 McTighe의 핵심 질문 (Essential Questions)은 학습자가 장시간 지니고 있을 영속적 이해를 촉진할 수 있다. 핵심 질문은 학습자의 탐구와 사고를 유도하고, 배운 것을 다른 분야에 전이할 수 있도록 돕는다. 하지만 이러한 핵심 질문에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 초등학교 5-6학년 감상 단원 지도서에 있는 질문들을 추출하여 질문의 유형과 핵심 질문으로서의 적절성을 살펴보고 나아가 이 결과를 바탕으로 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 초등학교 5-6학년 감상 단원 핵심 질문을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위해 초등학교 5-6학년 7종의 미술 지도서를 분석의 대상으로 삼았으며, 그 결과 7종의 지도서의 감상 단원 질문들은 대부분 안내, 유도 질문 유형으로 구성되어 있다는 점, 핵심 질문 또는 핵심 발문을 제시하고 있는 3종의 지도서의 대부분 질문들은 핵심 질문으로 판단하기 어렵다는 결과를 도출하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 초등학교 5-6학년 감상 단원에서 활용할 수 있는 핵심 질문을 개발하여 제시하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The 2015 revised curriculum pursues creative and convergent competency that students can recreate their knowledge and skills with transferring the previous. To do this, it is necessary to research what students really learn in the art classroom. A critical way to open up the door to enduring understanding for students is to use the Essential Questions when planning curriculum. Since the 2015 revised curriculum stands for the Less is more principle of backward design, it can be seen that planning the lesson using the Essential Questions is a very meaningful process. However, teachers do not have the concept of curriculum developing using the Essential Questions and this study focus on them by analyzing the teachers’ resources for art textbooks. Therefore, this study aims to extract questions from the 5th and 6th grade appreciation unit guidebooks of elementary schools, examine the appropriateness of the questions by categorizing of them, and developing the Essential Questions for the 5th and 6th grade appreciation lessons. For this purpose, seven art guidebooks for 5th and 6th graders and as a result, most of the questions of appreciation unit of seven kinds of guide books were composed of leading and guiding questions. In addition, most of the questions of the analyzed guide books were not categorized as the Essential Questions by McTighe & Wiggins(2013/2016). This study presents the process of analyzing the Essential Questions and suggests developing and action research on the Essential Questions that can be used in art appreciation units of elementary schools based on these results.
