대순진리회의 대안교육

국문 초록

인간은 교육을 통해 많은 변화가 가능한 존재이다. 특히 수용하는 능력이 탁월한 청소년기의 학생들은 두말할 나위가 없다. 그런 의미에서 교육에 의해 인간이 성장⋅변화할 수 있다면, 교육은 인간의 성장가능성과 직결되는 문제임에 틀림없다. 이제 획일화된 교육, 왜곡된 교육을 지양하고 교육의 본래의 뜻에 부합하는 진정한 교육에 대한 관심이 교육계의 화두가 되고 있다. 그 제일선에 대안교육이 있다. 본 논문은 대순진리회의 대안교육을 밝히기 위해 대안교육이 무엇인지와 대안교육의 사상적 배경이 무엇인지를 살펴보고, 대안교육의 교육기관으로서의 대안학교 설립과 관련하여 몇 가지를 제안해 보고자 한다. 대순진리회 대안교육의 사상적 배경으로는 해원상생(解冤相生)과 인존(人尊)사상을 들 수 있다. 해원상생은 종단 대순진리회(大巡眞理會)의 종지 중 하나로써 종지 전체를 대표하는 이념이며 신앙하는 이들에게 있어서는 실천으로 옮겨야 하는 실천이념이다. 해원상생의 교육이념은 대립과 갈등 관계에서의 교육당사자가 서로에 대한 인정과 이해를 통해 보다 나은 교육환경을 건설하고자 하는 실천이념이다. 인존은 인간을 우주적 관점에서 이해한 것으로 천지인 삼계의 전체구조 속에서 인간이 자기완성을 통하여 삼계의 주체로서 주도적 역할을 수행한다는 새로운 인간상이다. 증산은 ‘인존’을 통하여 새로운 우주관과 함께 인간의 의식구조를 변화시키는 명제를 강조한다. 인존사상은 학생을 단순히 교육의 대상으로 여길 것이 아니라 학생 개개인이 지니는 존엄성을 존중하며 학생에 대한 지속적인 관심과 사랑 그리고 학생에 대한 믿음을 통해 완전한 인격체가 될 수 있는 하나의 소중한 인격체로 여기는 인식의 전환을 요구한다. 이러한 사상적 배경을 바탕으로 대안학교를 설립한다면, 학급당 소수의 학생으로 이루어지는 작은 교실이 될 것이며, 세상을 담을 수 있는 교육프로그램을 코치형 교사가 담당하는 그런 학교가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

It is said that a human can be endlessly changed through education. Especially, the teens who has a great potential to accept anything through the education is an critical phase in human being. From this point, if a human can be grown and changed through education, the education should be a big issue for the growing possibility of human. Thus, it has been a big issue to stop a standardized and distorted education, and to pursue a real education in the field. The first resolution for the statement above is in an alternative education. This paper proposes what an alternative education for Daesoon-Jinrihoi is and what the ideological background of the education is. In addition, the paper suggests some of things related to the establishment of the alternative school as an educational institution. The ideological background of an alternative education for Daesoonjinrihoi is rooted on the ideology like Haewonsangsaeng and Injon. Haewonsangsaeng, as one of idelogical essentials of Dasoonjinrihoi has a symbolic meaning to represent it and also it should be a code of conduct that all of the Daesoonjinrihoi devotee should follow. Haewonsangsaeng makes it possible to establish the better educational surroundings because it influence on the educational notion to resolve the conflicts between students and teachers. In this point, Haewonsangsaeng could be an educational notion to be activated in the field of education. Injon, as a view of the universe means an ideal human to have a leading role in chon, ji and in through the self-perfection. Jeungsan emphasized the proposition to change human’s mind-set with the new view of the universe. Applying the idelogy of Injon on the field of education, the students should not be applied to the subject of the education but they should be respected and have a great attention and love. Therefore, it is possible to think them as an human having a dignity. If the an alternative school based on the ideological background like Haewonsangseng and Injon is established, the school could be an institution which consists of a class having small number of students and has a coaching teacher to activate the ideal educational program.
