국문 초록

본 연구에서는 장애 관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이가 일반유아의 장애 인식 및 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 G광역시에 위치한 C유치원에 재학 중인 만 5세 2개 학급의 일반유아 30명을 대상으로 실험집단에는 ‘장애 관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이’를 실시하고, 비교집단에는 ‘장애 관련 그림책’을 동화로 들려주었다. 실험처치는 총 12회 실시하였고 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애 관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이는 유아의 장애유아에 대한 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애 관련 그림책을 활용한 역할놀이는 장애수용태도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 장애에 대한 정보가 들어있는 그림동화를 듣고 이를 역할놀이로 재구성하여 표현해 봄으로써 장애를 이해하고 수용하는 태도를 가지게 된 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 따라서 향후에는 유아들이 장애를 잘 이해하고 수용하는데 도움이 되도록 유아의 발달적 수준과 흥미에 적절한 그림책의 개발과 관련 연구들이 이루어질 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of role play using disability-related picture books on non-disabled children’s perception and attitude toward disability. For this purpose, 30 children without disabilities in two classes of 5-year-old children in C Kindergarten in G Metropolitan City were selected as the subjects, and the experimental group carried out role-play using disability-related picture books , whereas the comparative group listened to the stories of disability-related picture books. The experiments were treated 12 times in total. First, role play using disability-related picture books had a positive effect on children s perception of the children with disabilities. Second, role play using disability-related picture books had a positive effect on the attitude toward disability acceptance. This result can interpret that they have the attitude of understanding and accepting disability by listening to the picture books with the information about disability and reconstructing it as role play. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a picture book appropriate to the developmental level and interest of children so that they can understand and accept disability well in the future.
