국문 초록

본 연구에서는 사회적 약자 지원을 위한 어린이집 지역사회 연계 프로그램의 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 어린이집의 상황 및 유아들의 흥미, 발달적 수준을 고려하여 사회적 약자 중 ‘다문화’와 ‘노인’ 관련 ‘지역사회 연계 프로그램’을 구성하였다. 그리고 전남 광양시 Y어린이집에 재원하고 있는 만5세 유아 30명을 선정하여 실험집단에는 ‘사회적 약자 지원을 위한 어린이집 지역사회 연계 프로그램’을 실시하였고, 비교집단에는 ‘이야기 나누기’를 실시하였다. 6개월 동안 12회기의 실험처치를 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사회적 약자 지원을 위한 어린이집 지역사회 연계 프로그램은 유아의 다문화 인식에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 약자 지원을 위한 어린이집 지역사회 연계 프로그램은 유아의 노인에 대한 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아로 하여금 지역사회와 연계하여 직접 참여하여 활동하는 것이 ‘사회적 약자’에 대하여 보다 쉽게 이해하고 공감할 수 있는 교육적 기회가 될 수 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 유아들의 발달적 수준 및 흥미에 맞추어 지역사회와 연계한 다양한 ‘사회적 약자’이해 프로그램의 개발과 적용에 대한 추후 연구가 이루어져야 할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of daycare center and community-linked program for supporting the socially disadvantaged. Considering the situation of this daycare center and the interest and developmental level of children, this study constructed a community-linked program related to multiculture and elderly among the social disadvantaged. In addition, it selected 30 children aged 5 in Y Daycare Center in Gwangyang-si, Jeollanam-do, and the experimental group conducted a Daycare and Community-linked Program for Supporting Social Disadvantaged . The results of 12 experimental treatments for 6 months were as follows. First, the daycare and community-linked program for supporting the socially disadvantaged positively affected the children’s perception of multiculture. Second, the program had a positive effect on their perception of the elderly. These results suggest that it can be an educational opportunity for children to better understand and sympathize with ‘the social disadvantaged’ by directly participating in the community and doing activities. Therefore, there is a need for further research on the development and application of various community-linked programs for understanding ‘the social disadvantaged’ in line with the developmental level and interest of children.
