국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 도시에 거주하는 은퇴한 남성 노인의 지역사회 적응 경험을 파악하고 지역사회 구성원으로 발전적 역할을 할 수 있는 지원 방안을 마련하고자 하는 것이다. 연구 수행을 위해 서울시 ○○구 지역 담당자 추천을 통한 은퇴한 도시 노인 남성5명을 구성하여 초점집단인터뷰를 수행하였다. 수집된 자료는 주제분석을 통해 분석하였으며 주요 연구 결과는 1)지역사회 구성원으로 인식하기 시작하는 생활환경, 2)지역사회 자원 및 서비스 활용 능력 차이 발생, 3)지역사회 구성원으로 살아가기 위해 배움의 필요성 인식, 4)남성 노인이 접근하기 어려움. 5)지역사회 구성원들과 소통할 수 있는 기회가 필요, 6)지역사회에서 역할 찾아가기로 상위범주 6개 하위범주 14개가 도출되었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 은퇴한 도시 남성 노인의 지역사회 적응에 필요한 사회복지 실천적 정책적 함의를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify urban elderly males’ local community adaptation experiences after retirement, thereby preparing supportive measures to be a member of the local community who plays a developmental role. To conduct the study, we performed a focused group interview with five retired urban elderly males recommended by local managers in -gu, Seoul. The collected data were analyzed through ○○ thematic analysis, and the main research results were categorized into six themes with relevant fourteen sub-themes as follows: 1) ‘Living environment that begins to be recognized as a member the local community,’ 2) ‘A difference in the ability to use local resources and services,’ 3) ‘Recognition of learning to live as a member of the local community,’ 4) ‘Difficult for elderly males to access,’ 5) ‘Need an opportunity to communicate with a member of the local community,’ and 6) ‘Finding roles in the local community.’ Based on this study’s results, we have suggested the practical and policy implications of social welfare necessary for the adaptation of retired urban elderly males to the community.
