국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 신로마 공화주의의 공동선 개념의 의미를 탐색하여, 이를 2015 개정 교육과정 ｢윤리와 사상｣의 ‘개인선과 공동선의 조화’ 학습 내용에 적용하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 신로마 공화주의자인 비롤리와 페팃 모두 공화주의에서의 비지배 자유의 개념이 ‘개인선인 동시에 공동선임’을 주장한다는 점에서, 2015 개정 교육과정 ｢윤리와 사상｣의 5종 교과서에 나타난 ‘개인선과 공동선의 조화’ 내용의 서술 중에서 ‘공화주의가 개인선 보다는 공동선을 우선한다는 서술’과 ‘자유주의는 개인선을, 공화주의는 공동선을 추구한다는 서술’이 수정되어야 함을 제안한다. 그리고 이러한 교과서 서술의 문제점은 해당 단원의 성취기준이 신로마 공화주의의 공동선의 의미를 정확히 반영하지 못하고 있다는 점에 그 원인이 있음을 밝힌다. 논의 결과를 바탕으로, 논문의 후반부에서는 차기 교육과정에 적용될 수 있는 성취기준의 예시를 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of the concept of the common good of neo-roman republicanism and apply it to the learning contents of harmony between individual good and common good in the 2015 revised curriculum ｢Ethics and Thoughts｣. This study is because the neo-roman republicans Viroli and Pettit argue that the concept of freedom in republicanism as non-domination is both an individual good and a common good, among the descriptions in the content of harmony between individual good and common good , it is suggested that the description that republicism prioritizes the common good over the individual good and the description that liberalism pursues the individual good and republicanism pursues the common good should be modified. And it is revealed that the problem of this textbook description is that the achievement standard of the unit does not accurately reflect the meaning of the common good of neo-roman republicanism. Based on the results of the discussion, the latter part will present examples of achievement standards that can be applied to the next curriculum.
