전문계 고교생의 직업기초능력 진단도구 개발

국문 초록

이 연구의 주요 목적은 행동기술척도(BARS)에 기초하여 직업기초능력 수준별 주요 활동을 구안하고, 전문계 고교생의 직업기초능력을 진단할 수 있는 타당성 있는 검사 도구를 개발함과 동시에 활용방안을 모색함에 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 직업기초능력에 관한 국내외 문헌 고찰 및 전문가 협의회를 거쳐 전문계 고등학생에게 요구되는 직업기초능력 수준 및 주요 행동을 모색하고, 기업에서 요구되는 직업기초능력의 우선순위를 파악하며, 탐색적 요인분석을 통하여 직업기초능력 영역을 정의하였다. 또한 행동기술척도(BARS)에 의한 전문계 고등학생의 직업기초능력 진단도구를 개발하기 위하여 2차에 걸쳐 학생 및 교사, 기업인사 담당자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 다음으로 12개 영역에 해당하는 척도진술문을 고정하였으며 이를 토대로 직업기초능력 영역의 정의 및 각 영역별 6~10개의 행동사례가 제시된 전문계 고교생의 직업기초능력 진단도구를 개발하였다. 개발된 진단도구를 활용하여 전문계 고교생 및 교사를 대상으로 실시한 전문계 고교생의 직업기초능력 진단한 결과, 12개 영역으로 구분된 전문계 고교생의 직업기초능력은 모두 학업성취도와 양의 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 전문계 고교생의 직업기초능력 수준은 수리능력 영역을 제외한 모든 영역에서 기업에서 요구되는 직업기초능력 수준보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같이 전반적으로 기업에서 전문계 졸업생에게 요구되는 직업기초능력이 보다 낮게 나타난 것은 기업에서 요구되는 능력이 평가 절하되거나, 혹은 현장에서는 이러한 경향이 적절한 수준인 것으로 판단된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to re-establish the concept and dimensions of core competency of vocational high school students, to derive leveled main activities based on BARS(Behaviorally Anchored Rating Scale), to develop reasonable test for diagnosing core competency, and to find out it s usage. This test was developed on basis of BARS process for improving validation and reliability. Accordingly, it was aimed to find out the level of core competency and main activities, which were inquired to vocational high school students, through literature review and conference with experts. Also we figured out the priorities of core competency inquired in business field and defined the core competency through exploratory factor analysis. Moreover, to develop the test based on BARS for vocational high school students, we conducted the twice survey for teachers and the responsible persons in charge of Sector Human Resource Development Councils(SHRDC). As a result of this process and method, the 12-categorized test for vocational high school students was developed with 6 to 10 behavioral anchors in each category and the definition of the category of core competency. Finally, the test result explained the gap between their responded level and the behavioral level required in business field. To find out the value of core competency and compare with its norm, students and teachers fill in the form of one decimal places. The result indicated that competencies levels which teachers evaluated were higher than the levels of businesses, except the numeracy area. This means that efforts should be strengthened for improving the numeracy skill and that the core competencies that required to vocational high school graduates could be de-evaluated.
