국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 한국 농업 토착 지식, 기술, 문화를 발굴하고, 교육 방안을 제시하는데 있었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 농업 토착 지식, 기술, 문화의 발굴 모형을 탐색하고, 문헌, 전문가 인터뷰, 그리고 현지조사 자료를 통하여 발굴 원자료를 수집하고, 토착 지표(지역성, 무형식성, 전승성, 유용성)를 활용하여 농업 토착물을 선별하였으며, 마지막으로 이것들을 지식, 기술, 문화 및 농업 분야에 따라 분류하였다. 다만, 이 연구의 발굴 범위는 시간, 재원, 인력의 한계로 작물, 원예, 산림, 축산, 및 곤충으로 구성된 생산농업과 농업 문화로 한정되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 농업 토착 지식, 기술, 문화의 발굴 모형은 발굴 절차 및 방법에 따라 농업 분야 탐색, 발굴 원자료 수집, 농업 토착 판단, 그리고 농업 토착 지식·기술·문화 분류의 과정으로 구성하는 것이 적절하였으며, 실제로 이러한 모형에 따라 발굴한 결과 이 모형은 농업 토착물의 발굴에 용이하였다. 둘째, 발굴 모형에 기초하여 한국 농업의 토착 지식, 기술, 문화를 발굴한 결과 총 114건이 발굴되었고, 농업 분야 중 작물, 원예, 축산 내용이 많았으며, 토착 지식이 기술이나 문화보다 많았다. 셋째, 한국 농업 토착 지식, 기술, 문화의 교육은 이를 계승하고 친환경적으로 활용하기 위한 기반을 마련하는 측면에서 이루어져야 한다. 특히, 초·중·고등학교 및 대학의 농업 토착 지식, 기술, 문화에 관한 교육이 연계되도록 이루어져야 하며, 그 수준에 따라 교양교육과 전문교육으로 구별하여 차별화되도록 구성할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to excavate the indigenous knowledge, technology, and culture in Korea agriculture and to suggest their uses for education. To achieve this purpose, first of all, the researchers proposed a theoretical model for excavating indigenous knowledge, technology, and culture in agriculture through the review of literature. Second, the researchers collected raw data through conducting literature review, interviews with expert, and field survey sources and selected agricultural indigenous things based on indigenous indicator(locality, non-formality, transferability, utility), and then finally classified them into agricultural indigenous knowledge, technology, or culture. The scope of this study was limited to production agricultural areas such as crop, horticulture, forestry, livestock, and insect and agricultural culture due to limited time, finance, and labor force. The results of this study were as follows. First, the proposed model for excavating the indigenous knowledge, technology, and culture in agriculture was valid and suitable: it consisted of the stages of deciding the field of agriculture, collecting raw data of indigenous agriculture, judging the indigenous agriculture, and classifying the indigenous agriculture into the indigenous knowledge, technology or culture. Second, based on the above proposed model, the fields of production agriculture in Korea were explored and 114 varieties of indigenous knowledge, technology and culture were excavated. Of the fields of production agriculture, there are more crop, horticulture and livestock indigenous knowledge, technology and culture than others. The number of the indigenous knowledge in agriculture was more than that of the indigenous technology and culture. Third, the indigenous knowledge, technology and culture in Korean agriculture should be taught in a way to build the base for inheriting and making eco-friendly use of them. Especially, education of agricultural indigenous knowledge, technology and culture should be linked from primary to middle to high school to university and it should be provided differently by either liberal education or professional education.
