국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 대학생의 강점인식과 진로준비행동의 관계에서 진로결정자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하는데 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 대학생을 유의표집하여 296개의 설문자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계 분석과 구조방정식 모형분석을 활용하여 분석하였으며, 연구모형(부분매개모형)과 대안모형(완전매개모형)을 비교하고 최종모형을 선정하였다. 연구를 통해 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 강점인식은 진로준비행동에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생의 강점인식은 진로결정자기효능감에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대학생의 강점인식과 진로준비행동 간 관계를 진로결정자기효능감이 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 대학생들의 진로준비행동을 촉진하기 위해서는 진로와 관련된 의사결정과 문제해결을 잘 할 수 있을 것이라는 스스로에 대한 믿음을 향상시키는 것이 중요한 기제가 되며 강점인식이 이러한 진로결정자기효능감을 향상시켜줄 수 있는 역할을 할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 연구 결과는 긍정심리학의 관점이 진로교육 장면에 확산됨에 따라 강점인식 등의 방법이 진로교육에도 널리 활용되고 있는 시점에 강점인식과 진로준비행동의 긍정적 관계와 이를 매개하는 진로결정자기효능감의 역할을 실증적으로 검증했다는 데 의의가 있다. 이 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 대학생들의 진로준비행동을 촉진하기 위한 다양한 강점인식 활동과 진로결정자기효능감을 향상시키기 위한 방안 등을 제시하였으며, 강점활용 변인의 추가 역할 검증, 강점인식의 긍정적인 결과에 대한 실험 연구 등 추후 연구과제를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study carried out for verifying the mediation effect of career decision self-efficacy in the relationship between strength knowledge and career preparation for college students in Korea. In order to accomplish the purpose of these studies, survey was conducted for from 296 college students who were studying at four-year university via purposive sampling. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and structural equation model analysis(SEM), and the final model was selected by comparing the research model and the alternative model. The results of the study were as follows. First, the strength knowledge of college students had a positive effect on career preparation behavior. Second, the strength knowledge of college students had a positive effect on career decision self-efficacy. Third, it was found that career decision self-efficacy fully mediate the relationship between strength knowledge and career preparation behavior. In other words, to promote college students career preparation behavior, it is important to improve their belief that they can do career-related decision-making and problem solving. And also it can be seen that strength knowledge can play a role in improving career related self-efficacy. This study is meaningful in that it verified the positive relationship between strength knowledge and career preparation behavior and the role of career decision self-efficacy that mediates this relationship, as the method of strength knowledge is widely used in career education along with spreading the perspective of positive psychology. Based on the results of this study, various activities to promote strength knowledge and career decision self-efficacy were suggested. In addition, further research agenda were discussed such as additional role of strength utilization, continuous research on the positive result of strength knowledge, execution of experiment design study, and exploration of the moderation variables.
