국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 직업계고 졸업자의 경력유형을 구분하고, 경력유형별로 학교생활과 노동 시장성과에서 차이가 있는지를 구명하는데 있었다. 분석대상은 한국교육고용패널(KEEP) 전문계고 3학년 코호트 중 3차년도(2006년)부터 12차년도(2015년)의 경력 상태를 모두 응답한 412명이었다. 주요 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직업계고 졸업자의 경력유형은 ‘대기업 정규직형’, ‘중소기업 정규직형’, ‘불안정 고용형’, ‘4년제 대학 진학형’의 4가지로 확인되었다. 둘째, 직업계고 졸업자중 ‘4년제 대학 진학형’ 집단의 학교생활 수준에 대한 담임교사의 인식이 가장 좋다. 셋째, 직업계고 졸업자중 ‘중소기업 정규직형’의 비율이 가장 많으며, 전체 직업계고 졸업자의 경력과 형태 및 상태 유지 기간이 가장 비슷하다. 이 연구의 제언은 첫째, 고졸취업정책이 본격적으로 강조된 2010년 이후 졸업자들의 경력유형과 노동시장성과에 대한 연구가 이루어질 필요가 있다. 둘째, 이 연구에서는 미상자료를 제외하였는데, 미상자료를 포함시켰을 때의 경력유형을 도출하여 비교해 볼 필요가 있다. 셋째, 중등단계 직업교육과정을 효과적으로 설계하고 운영하기 위해 직업계고 졸업자의 세분화된 경력유형에 대한 정보가 제공될 필요가 있다. 넷째, 경력유형별 업무 및 일자리만족을 분석할때 조직의 문화 및 풍토, 업무성과, 직장 내 인간관계, 리더십 수준 등 다양한 변인을 고려한 실증적 연구가 필요하다. 다섯째, 직업계고 졸업자의 경력유형을 고려한 중등단계 직업교육 정책을 평가하는 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to classify the types of careers of secondary vocational education graduates and to investigate whether there are differences in school life and labor market performance by career type. The subjects of the analysis were 412 respondents who answered all of the third year(2006) to the 12th year(2015) of the vocational highschool cohort of the Korean Education and Employment Panel. The main conclusions are as follows. First, career types of graduates with secondary vocational education were identified as regular worker of major company , regular worker of SMEs , unstable workers , and 4-years college students’ group. Second, classroom teachers perception of school life level of 4-years college students group is the best. Third, the ratio of regular worker of SMEs’ is the highest among those who graduated from secondary vocational education, and the career patterns and shape and status of all secondary vocational education graduates are most similar. The research suggests the following. First, further study on the school life and labor market performance by career type of secondary vocational education graduates after 2010 is needed. Second, in this study, we exclude the unknown data, and it is needed to compare with the type of career when the unknown data is included. Third, further research on more detailed career types is needed to effectively design and operate secondary vocational education courses. Fourth, empirical studies on the various variables like organizational culture, organizational climate, work performance, work relationships, and leadership should be considered as well as career types. Fifth, it is needed to evaluate the policy direction and alternatives based on the life and career of the students who completed the secondary vocational education.
