초등학생의 로봇 작곡 활동을 통한 음악 프로그래밍에 있어서 성별(Gender)이 자아 효능감, 즐거움, 역량에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 2, 3학년 학생들의 로봇 활동에서 음악 성취 및 그와 관련된 개인적 특성에 있어서 성 차이가 있는지를 알아보는 데에 목적이 있다. 이전 연구를 검토하여 음악과 관련된 개인적 특성으로 음악 학습에 대한 자기효능감, 즐거움, 역량에 대한 자기효능감 을 선정하였다. 로봇 활동을 하는 동안, 각 학생들은 로봇 플랫폼을 통해 음악을 프로그래밍했다. 2학년과 3학년 학생 193명이 매주 1시간씩 10주 동안 로봇 프로그래밍을 통한 음악 작곡의 프로젝트를 마쳤다. 로봇 조립에는 일주일, 로봇의 코딩에는 3주일, 음악 프로그래밍에는 4주일, 그리고 노래 프로그래밍에는 2주일, 그리고 음악 작곡에는 3주일의 로봇 활동을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과, 초등학생의 음악 학습에 대한 효능감, 즐거움, 그리고 음악 성취에 성별 차이가 있음을 발견하였다. 그러나 로봇 음악 프로그래밍 활동에서 참가자의 음악 역량에는 성별 차이가 없었다. 본 연구에서 발견한 초등학생들의 자기효능감에 있어서의 성별 차이는 이전 연구의 결과와 일치한다. 그러나 로봇 활동 후에 역량에 있어서는 성별 차이가 발견되지 않아 이전의 연구 결과와 대치된다. 자기효능감과 즐거움은 초등학생들의 로봇공학 활동에서 음악 성취에 영향을 미치는 영향력 있는 개인특성이었다.

영문 초록

This study examines gender differences in music related personal traits and music composition in robotics activities of students in grade two and three. As music related personal traits, Self-Efficacy for music learning, Enjoyment, and Competence were selected based on previous studies. During the intervention, each student programmed music via a robotic platform. One hundred ninety-three students in second and third grades completed the robotics music project over the course of 10 weeks for one hour each week. Assembling a robot was done in a week. Robotics coding was performed for three weeks, music programming for three weeks, music programming with a song for two weeks, and music composition for the last three weeks. Results indicated that there are gender differences in Self-Efficacy for music learning, Enjoyment and Music composition of elementary students. However, there is no gender difference in Competence of participants in their robotics music activities. Gender difference in Self-efficacy of the participants coincides with the previous studies. However, Competence was not different by gender after the intervention, which is contrary to the findings of the previous studies. Self-Efficacy and Enjoyment were the influential traits affecting Music composition in elementary students’ activities with robotics.
