국문 초록

본 연구는 현역 병사들의 회복탄력성, 스마트폰 이용 동기, 스마트폰 과의존이 군 생활 적응에 미치는 영향력을 실증적으로 규명하고 병사들의 회복탄력성이 군 생활 적응의 관계에서 군 생활 스트레스의 매개효과를 알아보기 위해 연구를 진행하였다. 이를 위해서 강원도 지역의 육군 병사 366명의 데이터가 수집·분석에 이용되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS v.25.0 통계패키지 프로그램을 통해 탐색적 요인분석과 신뢰도 분석을 시행하여 척도의 타당화를 검정하였으며, 가설검정을 위해 위계적 회귀분석, 3단계 매개회귀분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 병사들의 회복탄력성, 스마트폰 이용 동기는 군 생활 적응에 긍정적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 스마트폰 과의존은 부정적인 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 병사들의 회복탄력성과 스마트폰 이용 동기는 병사들의 군 생활 적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 선행변수라고 볼 수 있는 만큼, 다양한 교육 및 방법을 통해 회복탄력성을 높여야 한다. 그리고 스마트폰 이용 동기는 본 연구에서 처음으로 군 생활 적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 변수임을 밝혀낸 만큼 스마트폰 이용을 독려해야 한다. 한편, 스마트폰 과의존은 군 생활 적응에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 현재 군에서는 병사들의 스마트폰 이용을 부분적으로 통제하는 만큼 적절한 사용이 이뤄진다면 스마트폰 과의존은 낮아질 수 있다고 본다. 둘째, 회복탄력성이 군 생활 적응의 관계에서 군 생활 스트레스는 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 병사들이 군 생활 스트레스를 높게 지각할수록 군 생활 적응에 부정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미하는 만큼, 군 생활 스트레스를 낮추어야 한다. 이는 병사들의 회복탄력성이 높을수록 군 생활 스트레스가 낮아지며, 군 생활 적응에 도움이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to empirically investigate the influences of resilience, motivation for using a smartphone, and smartphone overdependence on the military adjustment of soldiers in military service and to find if resilience has the mediating effects of military life stresses on the influences of resilience on military adjustment. To this end, data of 366 army soldiers in Kangwon-do province was collected and used for analysis. The scale validation of the collected data was tested by conducting an exploratory factor analysis and a reliability analysis by the use of SPSS v.25.0 statistical package program, and a multiple regression analysis and a three-step mediated regression analysis were conducted for hypothesis testing. Firstly, the study results prove that resilience and motivation for using a smartphone of the soldiers have a positive influence on their military adjustment and a negative influence on their smartphone overdependence. Therefore, it is required to enhance resilience through a variety of education and methods because resilience and motivation for using a smartphone can be regarded as an antecedent variable which has a positive influence on the military adjustment of the soldiers. Moreover, it is required to encourage the soldiers to use smartphones because this study has proven for the first time that motivation for using a smartphone is a variable which has a positive influence on military adjustment. Conversely, this study illustrates that smartphone overdependence exerts a negative effect on military adjustment. However, smartphone overdependence can probably be lowered if smartphones are used properly because the military controls the use of them by soldiers. Secondly, resilience is proven to have the partial mediating effects of military life stresses on the influences of resilience on the military adjustment. These results indicate the more soldiers perceive military life stress, the more negatively they are influenced on their military adjustment. Therefore, it is required to lower military life stress. Thus, this implies the higher resilience of soldiers gets, the more military life stress can be lowered, which can be a help to their military adjustment.
