국문 초록

이 연구는 공간 교육을 총체적으로 제시한 것이다. 현재 우리는 공간 속에서 살고공간 속에서 죽는다. 공간은 불가분의 관계 속에서 우리 삶의 일부분이다. 공간에 대한 관점을 갖는 것은 세상을 보는 안목을 갖는 것과 다름이 없다. 이와 같이 공간은 우리 생활에서 중요하며 공간 교육에 중요한 요소이다. 하지만 우리 교육에서 공간 교육은 분절화되고 구분되어서 서로 다른 영역에서 교육되고 있으며 표면적으로 지도되고있다. 이것은 공간에 대한 바람직한 교육이 아니다. 공간교육은 총체적이고 통합적으로 교육되어야 한다. 그렇기 위해서는 먼저 공간을 인식과 표현으로 구분하였다. 또한공간의 형식을 절대적 공간, 상대적 공간, 관계적 공간으로 구분하였다. 먼저 공간에대한 인식에서 절대적 공간을 설명하기 위하여 아리스토텔레스와 뉴턴의 철학을 빌려제시하였고, 상대적 공간은 라이프니츠와 아인슈타인의 철학을 빌려 제시하였다. 그리고 관계적 공간은 하비와 뢰브의 철학을 빌려 제시하였다. 그리고 공간에 대한 표현에서 절대적 공간을 설명하기 위해 사실주의 미술을 소개하였고, 상대적 공간을 설명하기 위해 입체주의 미술을 소개하였으며, 관계적 공간을 설명하기 위해 표현주의 미술을 소개하여 공간 인식과 공간 표현의 연계성을 강조하였다.

영문 초록

The plastic arts involve the visual modeling in two, three or four dimensions of a space. In other words, the plastic arts use the method to form a specific shape in a space. This is the difference of the plastic arts compared to other fields of art. The plastic arts focus on how to design the spaces. Ultimately, this is the result from the awareness of space. The special awareness determines different types and forms of modeling. Therefore, the key to modeling is ultimately to be the spatial awareness, not the spatial organization. However, spatial awareness is a very complicated matter. Spaces are recognized different by individual. It will be different by time, region and culture, because it is a physical activity but much influenced by culture. Therefore, in terms of space, the existential analysis should be prioritized. In modern education, however, it is seemed that the spatial awareness (philosophy) and visual description of space (art) are separated matters. The awareness and visual description of a physical space is in an inseparable relation. The living space is not something to be divided,but to be united, recognized and described. Unfortunately, in reality, the schools educate students that the relation of the two concepts is separated. The matter of space should be dealt with upon the metaphysics of the humanities and physical science of the material representation combined. In this regard, the separated content of curriculum should be integrated by the common theme of “space” in the education system.
