국문 초록

영국의 내셔날 갤러리가 제공하고 있는 Take One Picture 프로그램은 매년 내셔날 갤러리의 소장품 중 하나를 선정해 초등학교 교사들을 대상으로 교사연수프로그램을 개최하고 그 초등 교사들이 학교로 돌아가 주도적으로 통합/융합교과 수업을 창안하는 것을 목표로 하는 프로그램이다. 본 논문은 Take One Picture 프로그램이 초등 교사들을 대상으로 제공하는 미술 감상 워크샵의 내용을 분석하여 워크샵의 교육적성격을 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 한국의 미술중심 융합인재교육과 융합인재교육의 초등교사 연수 프로그램에 시사점을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석결과, 교사연수프로그램은 모델링과 근접발달영역을 활용해 교사들이 시각적 문해력을증진시킬 수 있도록 구조화되어 있었고, 일상용어의 사용과, ‘비교’와 ‘대조’를 통한 서술방법, 개인의 주관적인 반응을 중시하는 접근법을 택한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 Take One Picture 프로그램은 미술중심 융합인재교육의 실행가능한 모형이 될 수 있음을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Every year Take One Picture program at the National Gallery in Londonselects a painting from the collections and provides an one-day workshop forelementary teachers to use the images across curriculum. The feedback fromthe participants includes that the program made the elementary teachersconfident in talking about the painting and creating integrated curriculum. So, this paper explores what the characteristics of the program are inengaging elementary teachers in that way. For this, I conducted textualanalysis on Teachers’ Notes, which are resource for the teacher trainingprogram for an one-day workshop. Findings are followings: 1) Take OnePicture focuses on building the visual literacy of students. So, the teachertraining program is structured to build the visual literacy of teachers,incorporating the modeling and ZPD into the curriculum; 2) the Teachers’Notes are organized to practice everyday vocabularies instead of exercisingformalistic art terms; 3) the comparison and contrast are two main methodsto deliver information in a less-intimidating way; and 4) personallyimportant meanings are asked to respond in interpretive processes. Finally,based on these findings, the possibilities of A-STEAM education in Korea ina collaboration with museums are discussed and some suggestion for itsteacher training progrma are proposed.
