국문 초록

지역문화에 대한 정부의 관심과 노력에 힘입어 지난 2014년 1월 ‘지역문화진흥법’이제정되었는데, 이에 따르면 지역 간 문화격차를 해소하고 지역별로 특색 있는 고유의문화를 발전시킴으로써 지역주민들과 지역사회의 삶의 질을 향상시키고 문화국가를실현하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 지역의 특수성을 고려한 교육으로서‘공동체 중심 지역문화예술교육 프로그램’이 사회 구성원들의 삶의 질은 물론 지역 발전과 질적 향상에도 효과적인 교육프로그램이라 판단, 지역의 공동체 미술교육 프로그램을 개발, 적용하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 경기도 Y시 지역의 특성과 문화적 배경에대한 이해를 바탕으로 구안된 ‘수수수(水手秀) 아트피크닉’프로그램은 그 지역 아동들이 가족 및 지역주민들과 더불어 주변 자연환경을 체험하는 가운데 사회성 및 협동심을 기르도록 하는 데 주안을 두었다. 자연과 맞닿은 문화공간에서 상기 프로그램의 일환으로 진행된 ‘GREEN 강천 아트피크닉’에서는 신체를 이용한 감각적이고 통합적인예술표현 능력을 길러줌으로써 참여 가족과 아동들은 대부분 긍정적인 반응을 보였다. 이를 통해, 지역문화를 담은 공동체 미술교육 프로그램이 삶의 즐거움을 함께 나누고지역주민들 간의 문화공동체를 형성하는 계기가 되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 지역의공동체 미술교육 프로그램이 참여 아동들로 하여금 자신의 지역문화를 이해하고 이웃과 함께 더불어 사는 삶의 태도를 갖게 한다는 점은, 아동의 미술창작 결과물이 작품성을 떠나 그 과정마다 겪게 되는 시간과 호흡의 결과물이며 미적 의미 그 이상을 내포한다는 사실과 일맥상통한다고 할 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

Thanks to the government’s interest and effort for the local culture, the‘Local Culture and Arts Promotion Activity’ was enacted in 2014. It focusedon improving the quality of life of local residents and community andcreating a cultural nation by relieving inter-regional culture gaps anddeveloping unique cultures by region. Therefore, judging that the ‘community-centered local culture and artseducation program’ considering regional particularities is effective in thequalitative improvement of life of community members as well as regionaldevelopment, this study developed a local community art education program,applied it to actual affairs and analyzed the results. The ‘Green Gangcheon Art Picnic’ program, designed based on theunderstanding of the regional characteristics and cultural background in YCity of Gyeonggi Province, was aimed at allowing local children to cultivatesociality and cooperation through the experience of surrounding environmentalong with their families and community members. The operating result of this program shows that it helped participantscultivate integrated and sensuous art expression skills using their bodies ina cultural space in harmony with nature and so got a positive response frommost of the participating families and children. In this way, it is identifiedthat the community art education program of containing the local culturebecame a good opportunity that allows local residents to share the joys of lifeand form a cultural community. The local community art education program has an advantage that enablesthe participating children to understand their local culture and have a wayof life living together with neighbors. Therefore, it can be deemed to havesomething in common with the fact that the art works created by childrenare the product of time and effort for them to undergo in the creativeprocess, setting aside artistry and imply more than aesthetic meaning.
