프로젝트 학습에 기초한 환경미술수업이 학습자의 생태적 감수성에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 프로젝트 학습에 기초한 환경미술수업이 학습자의 생태적 감수성에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 프로젝트 학습법, 환경미술 그리고 생태적 감수성에 대해 이론적으로 고찰하였으며, 환경교육과 미술교육의 통합적인 활동을 동아리 활동을 중심으로 확인하였다. 따라서 연구대상은 서울특별시 구로구 소재 G고등학교의 생명존중 동아리 10명을 선정하였다. 이들은 길고양이라는 공통의 관심사로 모인 환경동아리로서 학교 주변의 길고양이 급식소 운영 등의 자발적인 활동을 이룬다. 이러한 특성이 프로젝트 학습으로의 미술과 접근 그리고 주변의 환경문제에 민감하게 반응하는 생태적 감수성을 확인하는 데 효과적일 것이라 기대하였다. 학습주제는 ‘환경미술을 통한 길고양이 인식개선하기’로 총 8차시의 수업을 진행하였으며, 수업을 통한 학습자들의 생태적 감수성 변화와 학습자 주변인들의 길고양이 인식 변화를 확인하였다. 연구결과는 환경부에서 제공하는 환경교육에 의한 환경의식ㆍ태도변화 조사 보고서(2014)의 ‘환경의식과 태도변화 조사 설문지’를 수업 사전ㆍ사후에 실시한 후 IBM SPSS 24 통계 프로그램을 통해 Paired t-test(대응표본 t 검증)을 사용하여 검사결과를 통계적으로 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 학습자의 실기 결과물과 활동지, 차시별 활동 인터뷰, 수업평가지 그리고 연구자의 관찰일지를 분석하여 학습자들의 생태적 감수성 변화를 종합적으로 도출하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구의 프로젝트 학습에 기초한 환경미술수업은 학습자의 생태적 감수성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 고등학교 환경동아리 활동을 중심으로 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Several previous studies were reviewed for this study, which investigated the educational concept and paradigm of environmental arts, the integrity of environmental and art education, and the approach to environmental arts education. Based on the theories from previous studies, the purpose of the present study was to examine the effect of the environmental fine arts class based on Project-Based Learning (PBL) on learner s ecological sensitivity. Subjects for this study were 10 members of the environment club at G-high school in Guro-Gu, Seoul, and they were participated in a total of 8 classes. The object of classes was set as improving perception of stray cats based on the common interests of learners. Thus, it was hypothesized the self-directed activity of subjects that PBL were emphasized. In conclusion, the environmental fine art class based on PBL 1) cultivated ecological sensitivity defined as emotional/cognitive empathy and reaction regarding the environment, 2) suggested practical direction of action such as interaction, and 3) deepened learner s ecological sensitivity. Thus, this study suggested that the environmental arts class based on PBL can provide systemicity while learners internalize their selected learning, and a problem-solving by using visual communication of arts. In addition, it can be thought that the environmental fine arts class will be extended and proposed in the education field by identifying the educational combination of art activity through the environmental club from this study.
