유아교사의 자아 탄력성과 소진의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사를 연구대상으로 자아 탄력성과 소진의 관계에서 교사 효능감과 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 선행연구에 대한 검토를 토대로 변인들 간의 인과적 관계를 나타내는 경로모형을 설정하였다. 광주와 전남지역에서 근무하는 유아교사 611명(유치원 교사 115명, 어린이집 교사 496명)을 대상으로 하여 자기보고식 설문지 조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료를 SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 24.0 프로그램을 활용하여 구조방정식모형 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 독립변인인 자아 탄력성과 매개변인인 교사 효능감, 사회적 지지들 간에 정적 상관을 보였고, 종속변인인 소진과는 부적 상관을 나타냈다. 매개효과와 관련하여 자아 탄력성과 소진의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 매개효과는 유의한 반면, 교사 효능감의 매개효과는 나타나자 않았다. 또한 교사 효능감과 사회적 지지를 차례로 거치는 이중매개효과가 유의하였다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 자아 탄력성은 소진 감소에 직접 영향을 줄 뿐 아니라 교사 효능감과 사회적 지지를 통해 소진을 완화하고 예방하는 요인으로 작용함을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 유아교사 상담에 주는 의의와 실천적 함의를 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to analyze the mediating effects of teacher efficacy and social support in the relation between ego-resilience and burnout for early childhood teachers. Based on reviewing previous researches, a path model representing causal relations among variables was established. 611 early childhood teachers(115 from kindergartens and 496 from child care centers) in Gwangju & Chonnam area were sampled, and self-report questionnaires for measuring ego-resilience, burnout, teacher efficacy, and social support were administered to them. Structural equation model analysis was performed for the collected data using SPSS 25.0 & AMOS 24.0. The analysis results are as follows: first, the positive correlations were appeared among variables of ego-resilience, teacher efficacy, and social support. And the ego-resilience, teacher efficacy, and social support had negative correlations with burnout. Second, the simple mediating effect of social support and dual mediating effect of teacher efficacy & social support progressively were meaningful statistically. These results support that ego-resilience diminish and prevent the burnout of early childhood teachers through teacher efficacy and social support. From these results the meaning and practical implications for counseling early childhood teachers were suggested.
