유아교사의 놀이 이미지와 놀이중심 교육과정 실천에 대한 수월함과 어려움

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 유아교사를 대상으로 놀이에 대한 이미지를 메타포 분석하여 놀이의 의미를 도출하고, 놀이중심 교육과정 실천에 수반되는 수월함과 어려움에 관한 내용과 의미를 분석하였다. 연구대상은 J도 G시의 유아교육기관에 근무하는 유아교사로서 설문대상은 119명, 면접대상은 32명이다. 연구도구는 선행연구를 참고하여 연구자가 질문지를 제작하고 인터뷰를 하였다. 연구결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사가 표현한 놀이에 대한 은유적 이미지는 놀이의 특징, 놀이의 가치, 놀이에 필요한 요소, 놀이의 지향점, 놀이 환경, 일상으로의 놀이로 범주화되었다. 둘째, 놀이중심 교육과정 실천의 수월함은 진정한 놀이 가능, 유아의 주도권이 보장되는 놀이 실현, 교사의 자율성 강조, 교육과정의 간소화로 나타났다. 한편, 놀이중심 교육과정 실천에서 겪게 되는 어려움은 놀이중심 교육과정의 모호함, 교사의 역량에 의해 교육과정 성패 좌우, 부모의 인식 개선 필요, 행정 및 제도의 인프라 부족으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 유아교사가 인식하는 놀이에 대한 의미를 은유적으로 파악하고,「2019 개정누리과정」의 중심축인 놀이중심 교육과정의 안정적인 현장 정착에 필요한 요건을 고찰해 볼 수 있는 계기를 마련하였다는 데 연구의 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study, the meaning of play was derived by analyzing the metaphor of play for teachers, and the content and meaning of the ease and difficulty accompanying the practice of play-centered curriculum were analyzed. The subjects were teachers working at early childhood education institutions located in J and G cities, with 119 survey subjects and 32 interview subjects. As for the research tool, a questionnaire and interview was conducted by the researcher by referring to previous studies. The research results are as follows. First the metaphorical image of play expressed by the teacher was categorized into the characteristics of play, value of play, elements necessary for play, direction of play, play environment, and play as daily life. Second, the ease of practicing the play-centered curriculum was found to be real play ability, realization of play that guarantees the initiative of children, emphasis on teacher autonomy, and simplification of the curriculum. On the other hand, the difficulties encountered in the practice of the play-centered curriculum were the ambiguity of the play-centered curriculum, the success or failure of the curriculum by teacher competency, the need to improve parental awareness, and the lack of infrastructure for administration and systems. The study found that this study provided an opportunity to grasp the meaning of play recognized by early childhood teachers and to consider the requirements necessary for the stable settlement of the play-centered curriculum, the central axis of the 2019 Revised Nuri Course.
