초등 음악 기악학습의 변천사: 3-4학년을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 1차 교육과정부터 현재까지 초등 3-4학년 기악학습의 활동이 어떤 모습으로 변해 왔는지 살펴보고, 초등학교에서 보다 발전된 기악학습을 위한 방안을 조망해 보는 데 있다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 1차 교육과정부터 현재까지 기악학습에서는 음악의 개념과 본질을 가르치기 위해 음악교육가들의 다양한 활동들과 제재곡에 대한 숙고가 있었다. 둘째, 기악 학습은 음악의 기본 개념을 익히는 데 기여해 왔다. 셋째, 기악학습에서의 활동들은 음악을 통해 다른 사람들과 협력하는 데 기여해 왔다. 넷째, 2015 역량 중심의 교육과정으로 변화하면서 기악학습이 축소되었다. 다양한 교실 악기에 대한 변화가 필요하고, 효과적인 기악학습을 위한 제재곡의 변화와 다양한 기악 활동 유형에 대한 개발이 필요하겠지만, 무엇보다도 음악교육 역사에서 중요한 역할을 담당해 온 기악학습의 의미를 기억해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore how the activities of instrumental learning changed from the beginning of music subject to 4th grade elementary school and to suggest the significance and the direction of learning musical instruments in elementary schools. First, from the first curriculum to the present, there has been consideration of various activities and learning pieces by music educators to teach the concept and nature of music through instrumental activities. Second, instrumental activities have contributed to learn the basic concepts of music. Third, instrumental activities have contributed to collaborating with others through music. Fourth, instrumental music activities started to be reduced as changing to 2015 competency-oriented curriculum. The change of various classroom instruments and the development of instrumental learning pieces and various types of instrumental activities are needed, however, we must remember the meaning of instrumental learning, which has played an important role in the history of music education in elementary school.
