국문 초록

본 연구에서는 교육과정 탐구의 양식에서 Eisner의 미학적 관점에 근거한 교육과정 비평의 실천적 방법을 탐색하고자 한다. 교육과정은 모체 학문이 없는 그야말로 태생적으로 독립성을 가지는 학문분야이다. 그런 만큼 교육과정의 학문적 성격에 적합한 연구방법을 모색하고, 교육과정의 다양한 속성을 아우르는 연구방법의 발굴은 중요하다. 이러한 취지에서 본 연구는 일찍이 Eisner가 발전시킨 연구방법을 교육과정의 차원에서 검토해보고, 그 특징과 적용방안을 탐구해보고자 한다. 그 핵심적 방법은 연구 양식으로서의 교육과정 비평이다. 교육과정 비평은 표면적으로 보면 질적 연구 방법의 속성을 지니고 있으나 양적방법으로 절충가능하기 때문에 교육과정의 성격을 잘 반영할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 본 연구에서는 우선 현재의 교육과정 탐구 경향에 대해 살펴보고, 다음으로 Eisner가 제안하는 교육과정 비평의 의미와 특징을 살펴봄으로써 교육과정 연구에 실천 가능한 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 문헌 분석을 통하여 논의를 전개하고자 한다.

영문 초록

This study explores practical methods of curriculum criticism based on Eisner s aesthetic perspective in the genre of curriculum inquiry. The curriculum is an academic field that is born with independence by itself, without a parental discipline. As such, it is important to find a research methods suitable for the academic nature of the curriculum and to find out research methods that show various characteristics of the curriculum. In this sense, this study proposes Eisner s curriculum research method and investigates its features and application. The key method is the curriculum criticism as a research genre. Curriculum criticism has properties of qualitative research on the surface, but it is thought that it can reflect the nature of the curriculum because it is able to integrate with quantitative methods. In this study, we first look at the current curriculum inquiry tendencies, then look at the meaning and characteristics of the curriculum criticism proposed by Eisner, and then propose practical methods for curriculum research. To this end, We intend to develop a discussion through literature analysis.
