국문 초록

본 연구는 절차기억을 활용한 집단미술치료가 경증치매노인들의 기억력과 자아존중감에 미치는 효과를 검증 하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 G 광역시 소재의 H 요양병원에 거주하고 있으며 경증치매노인으로 선 별되고 참여 의사를 밝힌 경증치매노인 18명을 실험집단과 대기집단으로 각각 9명씩 무선으로 배치하였다. 연 구 기간은 2019년 11월 4일부터 2019년 12월 12일까지 주 2회, 회기 당 60분씩 사전․사후 검사를 포함하여 총 12회기 절차기억을 활용한 집단미술치료를 실시하였다. 프로그램 효과 검증을 위해 기억력 검사 도구로 서울 언어학습검사와 레이 복합 도형검사를 사용하였고, Rosenberg의 자아존중감 척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WINDOW 24.0 프로그램을 사용하여 데이터를 분석하였다. 실험집단과 대기 집단의 동질성과 효과성을 검증하기 위해 비모수 검정하였다. 각 대상자의 질적 분석을 위해 미술치료 시 대상자의 언어와 행동을 관찰한 내용을 기반으로 기억력과 자아존중감의 변화에 대해 기술하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 절 차기억을 활용한 집단미술치료가 경증치매노인의 기억력과 자아존중감에 미치는 효과를 검증한 결과, 대기집단 에 비해 실험집단에서 기억력 특히 시각적 기억력에서 긍정적인 효과가 있었고 자아존중감을 향상시키는데도 유의미한 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of group art therapy using procedural memory on memory and self-esteem of elderly patients with mild dementia. The study subjects lived in H nursing hospital in G-city, and 18 elderly patients with dementia who were selected based on havings early senile dementia and who revealed their intention to participate were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group. During the study period, from November 4, 2019, to December 12, 2019, group art therapy was conducted using 12 procedural memory tests, including pre- and post-tests; therapy occurred twice a week, 60 minutes per session. To verify the effectiveness, the Seoul Verbal Learning Test and the Rey Complex Figure Test were used as memory test tools, and Rosenberg s self-esteem scale was used to assess participants self-esteem. The collected data was statistically analyzed using the SPSS program version 24.0. In order to conduct quantitative analysis, individual changes in memory and self-esteem were described based on observations of subjects language expressions and behaviors during group art therapy. As a result of verifying the effect of group art therapy using procedural memory on the memory and self-esteem of elderly patients with mild dementia, there was a positive effect on memory, especially visual memory, in the experimental group compared to the control group, and the therapy also appeared to significantly improve self-esteem.
