대학생의 직업세계 인식에 관한 연구

국문 초록

21세기 직업세계는 하루가 다르게 세분화, 전문화되고 있는 것에 비해 정작 많은 대학생들의 직업세계에 대한 인식은 피상적이며, 그 준비 또한 현실적이지 못하다고 지적되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 교육인적자원부(2007) 그리고 한국여성정책연구원과 한국고용정보원(2008)이 전국 규모로 실시한 대학생의 직업세계 인식조사 연구를 바탕으로 하여, 지방에 소재한 D대학의 인식 정도를 비교한 후 이들에게 필요한 특성화된 직업 및 진로지도에 대한 시사점을 도출하였다. 이를 위해 부산지역 D대학에 재학 중인 대학생 2, 3, 4학년 총 726명을 대상으로 대학생의 직업세계 인식을 나타내는 희망직업에 관한 인식, 직업탐색 활동, 일반 노동시장에 관한 인식을 조사하였으며, 전국 대학생과의 인식 비교를 비롯하여 성별, 학년, 전공계열에 따라 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 D대학 학생들은 전국의 대학생들에 비해 전공일치도와 희망하는 직업의 일자리 전망에 있어 더 부정적으로 인식하고 있었으며, 취업정보 활용도 저조하였다. 또한 예측되는 직장에서의 어려움이나 괜찮은 일자리에 대한 판단 기준 등에서 상이한 결과를 보여주고 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 지방 사립대학이라는 특수성을 지닌 D대학의 특색있는 진로교육 계획수립에 가치있는 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Even the circle of jobs in the twenty-first century is rapidly specialized day by day, in reality, the opportunities for getting a new job are not widened to college students. This study was made as one of the practical purposes to be focused on the students` perception about getting jobs. The results are as follows: First, the students of D university choose government officials as the best jobs. Also, their expected salaries are 1.5-2 million wons per month. Especially male students choose the most industries of construction or information technology, on the contrary, the female students do the most in teachers or education services. The barriers which male students will face in job market are being temporary or part-time workers. They have a fear of unstable employment. On the contrary, the female students show that they have a fear of having overtime or irregular work time. Second, most of respondents start preparation for getting a job from junior or senior years. But they do not know exactly how to get information about jobs they want to choose, or how to prepare it. Most of seniors have experience of taking special lectures or attending seminars about vocation. Third, regarding labor markets, male students answer that the best requirements for getting job are performance ability, foreign language skills, or computer skills. Regarding the fairness in hiring process, females or sophomores have more negative attitude than males of seniors. From these results, there are several suggestions to be made. First, career or vacation guidelines are needed for counseling or exploring their careers. Second, opportunities for exploring jobs should be expanded and ability for searching information need to be trained. Third, various programs for career education need to be held more and especially practical programs such as making resume or interview skills. Fourth, the mentor program between students and professionals needs to be activated. These results can be used to establish policies or curriculum for guiding students in the D university.
