고등학교 기술,가정 교과서의 일-가정 양립에 관한 내용 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 고등학교 교과서에 나타난 성 차별적인 내용 및 열린 고용 사회 지향을 위한 일-가정 양립내용을 양적, 질적으로 분석하여 학교 교육 단계부터 일-가정 양립 여건을 조성하기 위한 향후 교육과정 개편및 교과서 개발·활용에서의 개선 과제를 도출하고자 하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 관련 문헌 및 자료 분석, 교과서 내용 분석 방법이 적용되었다. 교과서 내용 분석은 점유율이 높은 고등학교 기술·가정 교과서 3종을 선정하여 교과서 분석 틀을 적용하였으며, 분석 내용의 특징을 반영하여 세부 분석 요소를 구체화하였다. 분석영역으로는 성 차별적 요소 제시 현황 및 일-가정 양립 여건 마련을 위한 제시 내용이 있었으며, 구체적으로 일-가정 양립 여건 마련을 위하여 네 가지 측면의 분석 요소로 심층 분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학교 기술·가정 교과서에 나타난 성 차별적 요소가 어떻게 표현되었는지를 분석한 결과, 전반적으로 열린 고용 관점에서 차별을 지향하는 유형(유형1)이 상당히 높게 나타났다. 이는 저자의 의도와는 무관하게 학생들에게 차별적 요소에 대한 편견(stereotype)을 강화하는 요인으로 작용하여 기술된 것으로써 학생들의 인식적인 면에 실제 작용할 것이라고 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 고등학교 기술·가정 교과서의 일-가정 양립 내용 제시 현황을 살펴보면, 3종 교과서에 총 33건으로 권당 평균 11건이 제시되었다. 대단원별로는 ‘Ⅱ.가정생활 문화’가 과반수 정도로 나타났으며, 그 다음은 ‘Ⅰ.미래의 가족생활’, ‘Ⅲ.직업과 진로설계’ 순으로 제시되었고, ‘Ⅳ.수송기술’ 단원에서는 제시된 사례가 없었다. 분석요소별로는 성 역할의 변화, 일-가정 양립을 위한 지원 방안 및 대안, 일-가정 양립의 어려움과 일-가정 양립의 외국 사례 순으로 관련내용들이 제시되고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이 연구를 통한 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육과정 및 교과서 개발 시 일-가정 양립에 대한 내용을 관련 단원에서 전 생애에 걸쳐 일과 가정생활을 균형 있게 유지할 수 있도록 제시하여야 한다. 둘째, 일-가정 양립 내용 지도를 위한 교수·학습방법 및 평가방법 개선과 함께 교사의 전문성 변화에 대한 대응이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Through conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses on content of sex discrimination and work-family balance for an open employment society in high school textbooks, this study intended to derive tasks for improvement in curriculum reediting, textbook development· utilization to form a condition of work-family balance from a school education step. To achieve the research aims, related literature and data analyses were applied in addition to textbook content analysis. As for the textbook content analysis, 3 kinds of high school Technology·Home Economics textbooks having a higher share were selected and an analytic frame for textbooks was applied. Also, detailed analytic elements were embodied reflecting characteristics of the analytic content. Analytic areas contained present conditions of sex-discrimination element suggestion and content for preparing work-family balance conditions. In the concrete, in-depth analysis was done with analytic elements in four aspects to prepare conditions for work-family balance. Main research findings are as follows. Firstly, as a result of analyzing expressions on sex-discrimination elements in high school Technology·Home Economics textbooks, in general, it showed a quite higher ratio of a discrimination-oriented type(type 1) in terms of the open employment. It may act on as a factor to reinforce a stereotype about discrimination elements for students regardless of an intention of an author, working on their recognition. Secondly, in high school Technology·Home Economics textbooks, the number of presented work-family balance content was 33 in 3 kinds textbooks, on an average of 11 per book. By chapter, a majority of suggestions were shown from ‘Ⅱ. Family Living Culture’, and ‘Ⅰ.Family Life of Future’, ‘Ⅲ. Occupation & Career Design’ in order. There was no case suggested in ‘Ⅳ. Transportation technology’. As for analytic elements, related content was suggested for changes of gender role, measures and alternatives for supporting work-family balance, difficulties and foreign cases in work-family balance in order. Suggestions of this study are as follows. Firstly, when developing curricular and textbooks, content of work-family balance is to be suggested in related units to maintain work-family balance for individuals’ whole life. Secondly, teachers are required to respond to a change of specialty in addition to improvements on instructional·learning and evaluative methods for instructing work-family balance content.
