국문 초록

본 연구에서는 대학생을 대상으로 평가염려 완벽주의와 사회불안 간의 관계에서 자기자비, 외적 자기가치감 수반성의 매개효과를 탐색하고 주요 변인들의 구조적 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 부산·경남 지역 4년제 대학 재학생들이 연구대상이었고, 401부가 자료 분석에 사용되었다. 연구방법으로 구조방정식을 적용하여 연구모형과 경쟁모형을 검증하였다. 독립변인에서 종속변인에 이르기까지 영향력 있는 경로를 확인하고자 각 변인간의 경로를 하나씩 지우는 방식으로 경쟁모형1, 2, 3을 제시하였다. 최종모형으로는 주경로에서 매개효과가 유의하게 나타난 경쟁모형 3이 채택되었다. 연구결과를 보면, 평가염려 완벽주의와 자기자비는 부적상관을, 자기자비와 외적 자기가치감 수반성은 부적상관을, 외적 자기가치감 수반성과 사회불안은 정적상관을 보였으며, 평가염려 완벽주의가 자기자비와 외적 자기가치감 수반성을 경유하여 사회불안으로 이르는 경로에서 순차적 매개효과가 나타나 간접효과가 유의하였다. 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 그리고 후속연구에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study examined the mediating effects of self-compassion and external contingencies of self-worth on the relationship between college students’ evaluative concerns, perfectionism, and social anxiety; and the structural relationships between the major variables. Participants were 401 students attending four-year universities in Busan and South Gyeongsang Province. Correlation and structural analyses were conducted to evaluate the relationships between each variable. Competitive models 1, 2, and 3 were determined by erasing the paths one-by-one between each variable in order to identify influential paths from independent variables to dependent variables. The final model included the adoption of competitive model 3, with significant mediating effects on the main path. The results indicated that evaluative concerns and perfectionism had a sequential mediating effect on the path leading to social anxiety through self-compassion and external contingencies of self-worth. The significance and limitations of the study, and directions for future research are presented.
