국문 초록

본 연구는 음악치료 프로그램이 우울증 중년여성들의 자아존중감과 우울증과 같은 심리 정서적 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아봄으로써 중년여성들의 정서적 건강 안녕 도모에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 경남 C시에 소재하는 M정신보건센터 프로그램을 이용하는 우울증 중년여성을 대상으로 주 2회씩 총 20회기를 걸쳐 음악치료 프로그램을 실시하였다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 사실이 밝혀졌다. 첫째, 음악치료 프로그램은 우울증 중년여성의 자아존중감 향상에 효과적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 음악치료 프로그램은 우울증 중년여성의 우울증 완화에 효과적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 볼 때, 음악치료 프로그램은 우울증 중년여성의 자아존중감 향상과 우울증을 완화시키는 데에 효과적인 중재라 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of a music therapy program on the psychoemotional characteristics of depressed middle-aged women such as self-esteem and depression in an attempt to provide some information on the promotion of middle-aged women s emotional health. The subjects in this study were the depressed middle-aged women who participated in programs provided by M mental health center located in the city of C, South Gyeongsang Province. A music therapy program was provided for them in 20 sessions, twice a week. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the music therapy program was found to exert an effective influence on the improvement of the self-esteem of the depressed middle-aged women. Second, the music therapy program was found to exercise an effective influence on the alleviation of the depression of the depressed middle-aged women. Given the findings of the study, the music therapy program could be said as one of effective intervention programs to boost depressed middle-aged women s self-esteem and relieve their depression.
