국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 실존적 영적 안녕감과 스마트폰 중독간의 관계에서 사회부과적 완벽주의의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 수도권 8개, 경상권 6개, 전라권 1개 대학에서 대학생 230명을 대상으로 모집하여 불성실하게 응답한 18명을 제외, 총 212명의 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 자료분석은 구조방정식 모형을 적용하여 모형의 적합도 및 변인들의 직·간접 효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 실존적 영적 안녕감은 사회부과적 완벽주의 및 스마트폰 중독과 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 또한, 사회부과적 완벽주의는 스마트폰 중독과 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 사회부과적 완벽주의가 실존적 영적 안녕감과 스마트폰 중독의 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타나 실존적 영적 안녕감이 사회부과적 완벽주의를 통해 스마트폰 중독에 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구결과를 통해, 낮은 실존적 영적 안녕감이 사회부과적 완벽주의 성향을 높이고, 이렇게 높아진 사회부과적 완벽주의 성향은 스마트폰 중독 수준을 높이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사회부과적 완벽주의에의 개입을 통하여 실존적 영적 안녕감의 수준이 낮은 대학생들의 스마트폰 중독문제를 치유하기 위한 개입방법 및 후속연구에 대한 제언을 논하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the mediating role of socially prescribed perfectionism in the relationship between existential spiritual well-being and smartphone addiction among college students. We collected data from a total of 230 college students, and after excluding 18 participants, we analyzed data from 212 participants who were enrolled in colleges in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gyeongsang province, or Jeolla province. Structural equation modeling was utilized to test the fit of the hypothesized model and to estimate effects of the variables of interest. Results indicated that the existential spiritual well-being of college students showed negative correlations with socially prescribed perfectionism and smartphone addiction. Socially prescribed perfectionism showed a positive correlation with smartphone addiction. Further, socially prescribed perfectionism fully mediated the effect of existential spiritual well-being on smartphone addiction, which indicates that existential spiritual well-being affects smartphone addiction through socially prescribed perfectionism. Intervention and follow-up research for college students smartphone addiction are discussed.
