Teachers’ Perceptions and Willingness to Use Augmented Reality in the Classroom

국문 초록

최근 들어 증강현실은 교실수업에서 몰입경험을 제공하여 학습을 지원하는 첨단공학으로 부각되어 왔다. 교실에서 증강현실 사용에 따른 이점을 극대화하기 위해서는 제대로 준비된 훈련기회와 자원을 제공해 주어야 한다. 이 연구는 현직 교사들을 대상으로 증강현실에 대한 훈련세션을 끝낸 뒤에 그들이 지각하고 있는 느낌, 동기, 태도, 도전감을 분석한 것이다. 이 연구의 결과에 따르면 증강현실에 대한 태도와 동기가 높아질수록 이러한 실감매체를 더 사용하고 싶은 사용의지도 높아진다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다(p<.05) 교실에서 증강현실을 통합해서 사용하기 위한 문제점이나 논쟁거리에 대해서 추가적으로 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Augmented Reality (AR) technology has been highlighted as a recent emerging technology that can support classroom learning through authentic immersive experiences. To maximize the educational benefits of AR in the classroom, it is essential to provide teachers with well-designed trainings and resources. This study aimed to examine in-service teachers’ perception (feeling, motivation, attitude, challenges) on AR technology after completing AR training sessions, and how the perception influences their willingness to use AR in the classroom. The results show that attitude and motivation added statistically significantly to the prediction of teachers’ willingness to use (p < .05). Findings and issues with AR integration in the classroom are further discussed.
