대학의 교양교육과정 지원체계 분석 연구 : 중국 대학을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 글로벌 시대를 살아가는 우리에게 해외 대학의 교양교육과정 지원체제를 분석함으로써 국제적 이해를 도모하고, 국내 대학의 교양교육과정 운영과 지원체제에 대한 시사점을 찾는 것을 목적으로 한다. 특히 본 연구에서는 우리나라와 인접해 있는 중국대학의 교양교육과정 운영과 지원체제를 살펴보았으며 중국의 여러 대학 중에서도 특히 최고의 종합대학이라 일컬어지는 칭화대학과 북경대학의 사례를 중심으로 보다 깊이 있게 살펴보고자 하였다. 칭화대학과 북경대학의 교양교육과정 지원체제 분석을 위해 각 대학에서 추구하는 인재상 및 교양교육의 방향을 살펴보았다. 또 현재 시행되고 있는 교양교육의 목표, 학사커리큘럼, 핵심교양과목을 살펴보고 두 대학의 핵심교양과목에 대해 과목 수, 과목 구성, 교수학습방법의 세 가지 항목으로 비교하였다. 이를 바탕으로 두 대학의 교양교육과정의 지원체제에 대해서 조직제도, 교양교육과목 설치, 교사진, 교양교육 특색발전과 학과 융합한 신입생 모집 방안의 다섯 가지 측면으로 살펴보았다. 또한 추가로 두 대학의 교양교육과정 지원체제를 5가지 항목별로 비교·분석하였다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서는 현재 중국에서 실시되고 있는 고등교육기관에서의 교양교육과정과 이에 대한 지원체계와 관련한 이해를 도모하고 한국 대학의 교양교육과정 운영과 지원에 주는 시사점과 적용 가능한 점을 살펴보고 이에 대한 개선점을 논의하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 국제이해의 관점에서 상호이해가 증진되고 양국의 교육발전에 필요한 자료로써 사용될 것을 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to promote international understanding by analyzing the support system for liberal arts curriculum of overseas universities and to find implications for the operation and support system of domestic universities. In particular, this study examined the operation and support system of the liberal arts curriculum of the Chinese universities adjacent to Korea, and the in-depth study focused on the cases of Tsinghua University and Peking University, which are said to be the best comprehensive universities among Chinese universities. In order to analyze the support system for liberal arts curriculum of Tsinghua University and Peking University, the direction of talented and liberal arts education pursued by each university was examined. In addition, the objectives of the liberal arts education, the curriculum of the liberal arts, and the core liberal arts were reviewed. The core liberal arts of the two universities were compared in three categories: the number of subjects, the composition of the subjects, and the teaching and learning methods. Based on these findings, the support system for the liberal arts curriculum of the two universities was examined in five aspects: the organization system, the establishment of liberal arts curriculum, the faculty, the development of liberal arts education, and the recruitment of freshmen. In addition, the support system for liberal arts curriculum of the two universities was compared and analyzed by five items. Through this, this study seeks to understand the liberal arts curriculum and support system in higher education institutes in China, and suggests implications and applicability to the operation and support of the liberal arts curriculum of Korean universities. I would like to discuss improvements. This study is expected to promote mutual understanding from the perspective of international understanding and to be used as a necessary material for educational development of both countries.
