장애인복지 분야의 질적 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애인복지 분야에서의 질적 연구 동향을 분석함으로써 질적 연구에 있어 향후 지향해야 할 방향성을 모색하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 연구자는 등재지로서 장애인복지 분야에 특화되어 장애인복지 관련 주제들을 총체적으로 다루는 대표적 학술지인『재활복지』와『한국장애인복지학』을 분석대상으로 선정했다. 그리고 이들 학술지의창간년도부터 2018년도까지 수록된 총 1,050편의 연구들을 전수 조사했으며, 질적 연구 방법을 적용하여 수행된 총 111편의 논문을 분석목록에 포함하였다. 이에 연구자는각 학술지별 질적 연구의 출현 빈도, 연도별 출현빈도를 파악했으며 연구주제·연구대상· 연구방법·질적연구 특성의 네 가지 기준을 중심으로 하위범주를 구성한 분석틀을 활용하여 관련 항목들을 분석했다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 장애인복지 분야에서 질적 연구가 갖는 유용성에 관해 적극적인 공감대를 형성하고, 질적 연구에 적합한연구 주제와 대상자 선정을 고려하며, 연구대상자의 특성과 상황에 최적화된 자료수집방법을 적용함으로써 연구대상자가 경험한 세계를 이해할 때 발생되는 오류를 감소시키고, 연구자들의 사전준비도 및 참여자와의 접촉 수준을 높여 질적 연구의 독특성을 갖추며, 철저한 엄격성·윤리성 확보를 통해 연구의 질적 수준 향상을 도모해야 함을 시사하였다. 본 연구가 장애인복지 분야에서 질적 연구의 유용성 및 구체적 적용 방법에 관한논의의 확대에 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends in qualitative studies in the area of welfare of people with disabilities, and thereby to provide the direction for the qualitative studies. To achieve that, 『Journal of Rehabilitation Research』and『Journal of Disability and Welfare』 were chosen for analyses. These two journals are the representative KCI-indexed journals specialized in the area of welfare of people with disabilities and contain articles addressing themes of welfare of people with disabilities in a more comprehensive way. A total of 1,050 articles published within two journals from the foundation year to 2018 were examined, and a total of 111 qualitative studies were analyzed in this study. The study identified the frequency of qualitative research by journal and by year. The analysis was also conducted using sub-categories based on four criteria (research theme, research subject, research method, and characteristics of qualitative research). The result of the analyses provide five major implications. The findings of this study expand and contribute to future discussion on the usefulness of qualitative studies and their application methods in the area of welfare of people with disabilities.
