일반계 고등학교 학생들의 학업성취에 대한 위계적 선형모형 분석 : 학부모의 학교활동 참여를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 부산교육종단연구 2017년 2차년도 데이터를 활용하여 부산광역시 일반계고 학부모의 학교활동 참여가 일반계고 학생의 학업성취에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 학부모 학교활동 참여 활성화를 위한 정책적 제언을 제시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 학생의 학업성취에 대하여 학부모수준의 변수 중 부모의 SES(사회경제적지위), 부모-자녀관계, 부모의 학교활동 참여 횟수가 학생의 학업성취에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 학교수준의 변수 중 학부모 모니터링 인원이 학업성취에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과를 토대로 정책적 시사점 및 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Using data from the second wave of Busan Education Longitudinal Survey(BELS), the study analyzed the influence of parents’ school activity participation on general high school students’ academic achievement and provided the implications of policy for activating parents’ school activity participation. The school activity participation of parents of general high school students consisted of school activity participation in parent level and school activity participation in school level. The variables of the parent level include parents’ socioeconomic status, parents’ educational support, parent-child relationship, number of the parents’ school activity participation, and parents’ school satisfaction, and the variables of the school level include the number of person parents are monitoring, number of parents doing the monitoring, parents’ relationship with principal or community, and parents’ relationship with teacher or community. The main results are as follows: First, the parents’ socioeconomic status, parent-child relationship, and the number of the parents’ school activity participation influenced general high school students’ academic achievement positively in parent level. Second, the extent of the parents’ monitoring influenced general high school students’ academic achievement positively in school level. Based on the results, the political implications and suggestions were discussed.
