사회복지사의 상호문화역량 영향 요인

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 급격한 다문화사회의 변화 속에서 사회복지사의 상호문화역량에 영향을미치는 요인을 밝히는데 있다. 연구를 위해 다문화사회복지실천 현장의 사회복지사를 대상으로2017년 11월~2018년 1월(7주간)까지 설문을 실시하였고, 259부를 위계적 다중회귀분석을 통해분석하였다. 분석 결과 사회복지사의 상호문화역량과 하위 요인인 존중, 의사소통, 갈등관리, 성찰역량은 모두 평균 이상의 점수를 보였고, 존중과 의사소통, 성찰, 갈등관리 순으로 나타났다. 사회복지사의 상호문화역량에 영향을 미치는 개인특성 요인(사회적 거리감, 고정관념과 차별, 사회복지사의 전문적 능력, 옹호활동) 및 기관특성 요인(기관의 문화적 역량)을 총체적으로살펴본 결과, 사회복지사의 전문적 능력이 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤고 기관의 문화적 역량, 고정관념과 차별 순으로 영향력이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 사회복지사의 상호문화역량 증진을 위한 논의와 실천방안을 이론적, 실천적, 정책적 측면에서 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the intercultural competence of social workers in the rapidly changing multicultural society. For the study, questionnaires were conducted from November, 2017 to January in 2018 (7 weeks) for social workers in multicultural social welfare practice field, 259 were analyzed by hierarchical multiple regression analysis. As a result, social worker s intercultural competence and sub factors such as respect, communication, conflict management, and reflection were above average, The scores were in order of respect, communication, reflection, conflict management. As a result of examining individual factors(social distance, stereotypes and discrimination, professional competence, advocay activity) and institutional factors (institutional cultural competence) affecting the intercultural competence of social workers, Social worker s professional ability had the greatest influence, and institutional cultural competence, stereotypes and discrimination had great influence. On the basis of these results, this study suggested the discussions for enhancing the intercultural competence of social workers in the theoretical, practical and policy aspects.
